Personally, I felt that the "fanart" released was so good, it may be hard to beat. Some people may be butthurtin' about it if Ermac shows up looking different.

Given every single other character revealed, I don't think we have to worry about Ermac not looking amazing. but still you heard it hear first if he looks different lol.

Yeah I was feeling the artwork. I think it would probably look even better in game. I am hoping for that costume or something similar to his MK9 alternate, but I agree, no matter what NRS does with his design he will probably look great

I dont play as Ermac, but he's cool. He's my 3rd favorite ninja after Rain and Reptile. I dont even care to rank the other ones

Ermac, Reptile, and Rain are my favorite ninjas as well. Of course I like Scorpion and Sub Zero too, but I'm not going to get excited about their reveal because they're in every game.

The fan art was pretty awesome and I hope NRS took some inspiration from it. I like the King Jerrod storyline. It gives Ermac some depth. It also gives us the possibility of actually seeing Jerrod. I always wondered, everyone else can be brought back from death, why has he never been brought back? When was Jerrod first mentioned? Was it in one of Kitana or Sindel's old bios or endings?

I think I'm in the same boat as most people here.
Give us that dope concept design and no Arcade ending being cannon. I do wonder (and I haven't read the comics) if Kenshi will be cut... I doubt it, he's one of the only well received post trilogy characters. But... We have potentially 3 telekinetic fighters, assuming his kid doesn't stay exclusive to the comics.

Just hoping they didn't rehash it, as it was meh. His MKD Fatality was a bit better, but both of these are way better than his UMK3/MKT Telekinesis Slam.

Ermac has stood out from everyone every game he's been in. There's not an outfit he wore or game he appeared in I didn't love. Ermac imho is heaps better both in design and play style then mk's poster boy Scorpion.

Well his MK9 ending really made it seem like once Jerrod broke free and took control of the rest of the souls of Ermac's body, he became his own man again. However, it HAS been AT LEAST 10,000 years since he was last alive (Kitana's age) and he may have changed a lot since then.

What I'm thinking is this: In the old timeline, Ermac was set FREE by Kenshi, but not fully at the extent of his MK9 ending because Shao Kahn was never truly dead, he just had a clone hanging around while he gained back power elsewhere.

In the NEW timeline, Shao Kahn's death may have immediately set Ermac free from his control and caused him to have the same chaotic meltdown from his ending that allowed King Jerrod to become the dominant soul.

ALTHOUGH since he IS Jerrod, he still has the countless number of dead Edenian souls inside of him and is not an alone man. He could still very well be called Ermac and refer to himself as such in regards to his overall being and composition of warrior souls and having his telekinetic powers.

I actually encourage this expansion of his ending. I think it gives Ermac more character development potential and he could have a lot of dialogue and story exploration with Kitana, being the alternative Sindel figure in this timeline since her mother is pretty dead last we saw her (and we have no idea just yet if ALL the dead characters get revived).

We'll have to see tomorrow and see by any intro dialogue or developer hints if this holds any value!

I don't think Ermac becoming a "good guy/anti-hero" would fit his character all that well. This guy should go mad...really mad!

I would rather have Ermac be an Anti-Hero then anything tbh. Not forced upon his decisions but free to choose his own.

Who said good guys cant go mad just look at Mad Max Tazer.

This a thousand times over. Though it sounds cliché, he really needs to be that "wild card" character who's in the middle, teeming with unpredictability and not under anyone's thumb. Yeah, he's made up of souls, but it's time they have some involvement in the games beyond his MK9 ending.

How his storyline plays out will be crucial, should he make it in.

Am definitely pleased with his reveal. He looks like a blast to play as and his costume is pretty cool too, so glad they kept his hood from the MK9 alternate.

Shao Kahn is mentioned in many intros involving Ermac. Does this mean that his soul/essence is within Ermac?

I believe the Jerrod approach will spoil his collective conscience, legion personality so no. They are many, no names to identify them its better. On the recent reveal, even though his attire looks a little too much like his MK9 one for my taste, his animations and face model look fantastic, really eerie, fitting of such an odd creature. I can't understand what they're saying in the intro quotes, halp!!
