Hi everyone long time no speak,before you all start saying Im full of crap remember that I got solid info about this being a crossover game before it was announced, well I have heard something intresting from the same people.
MK9 is already in development at midway and its a lot further along than you would expect,its a proper mk game with no comic characters in site.
I do not know if it is a sequel to mka but I have been told it will be out next christmas.

Any other info please? I hate to sound ungrateful, but this is kind of redundant.

We knew there was going to be no comic characters. So if you have any other info, I won't give you a hard time. I am all ears.

So your saying MK9 is already in devoplement, and it'll come out October-December 2009? I was sure that it would come out November 2010, but I believe you are telling the truth, and my wishes for this game grow even more with this info.

Straight out of the november official ps3 mag uk.
You could always put your fingers in your ears and pretend the DC lot dont exist.
And if your still not happy,we can reveal that the team is already working on the ninth mortal kombat game,for ps3,and it will be a standalone mk title.

Nothing yet sadly midway wont show anything on this game until well after mkvsdc has been released. They wont shoot themselves in the foot.

Chistmas 09 is what I was told midway wants yearly mk games now,mkvsdc sequels (depending on how this sells) and proper mk sequels a year after. Two mk franchises being developed togeather.

Yeah, I heard they want a MK every year as well, so I guess MKvsDC (2008), MK9 (2009), MKSM2? (2010), MK10 (2011) I truly can't wait for MK9 and MK10, lets hope they bring back the Krypt, similar Story Mode (what I mean is Cutscenes) and KAF! I really need to get a copy of that mag.

I don't understand. you mean MK VS DC in 2008, MK9 in 2009, MK VS DC2 in 2010, MK10 in 2011....and so on?

There are no guarantees of an adventure game? or is there???

Wow...so waiting for the next canon MK game is going to be like waiting for the next Olympic games??? Two year periods???

Oh well...at least there will be some sort of MK game released between the main games to keep Jack Burton satisfied.

I'm iffy on this. Let's hope it will be a satisfaction, or MK be damned. I can't forgive them for the shit they are making instead of the long overdue tabula rasa.

The engine is already built so it shouldnt be a rush job,converting what they have in mkvsdc to a full mk game with new characters shouldnt take all that long at all really.
They could virtually use the mk characters from this game in the next one.

I don't have a problem with MK vs DC. It's a great concept if you ask me. Does it seem like a desperate ploy to gain attention? Maybe so, but with the proper care and attention to detail it could be good. The problem lies in the execution. The game just looks mediocre. It's like they're just making MK to keep making MK. It's not pushing the genre forward, they're not putting high quality work into it, it's basically way behind all other current fighters in almost every, if not all aspects. I'm not pissed that Batman and Superman are in the game. I'm just pissed because it could be a lot better.
