I believe you Cyberdog and here's why:
1.) They have the engine for the game already thanks to MK vs DC. So all they would need to do is tweak it a lil' bit.
2.) They are probably sticking with the "new MK every year" like they did with last gen.
I believe that you are correct, although details are vague, Boon even said that the next one will go back to it's bloody and gory roots.
Can't wait till' 09!!!!!!
