Definitely not digging Kung Jin. Looks awful, plays awful. Most likely will be forgotten after this game.

I'm super stoked on him. Absolutely love monk characters. Dig everything about him, too. Was more excited about Takeda though. I've been itching for him since his comic reveal.

I think Kung Jin looks cooler than Takeda though. At least Takeda's main. I don't like how future-y it is. I'll be sticking with his Shirai Ryu alt for sure.

Jin seems so vanilla compared to the others besides Jacqui. I also want to see some Sonya and Erron Black game play so we see that they don't feel like Cassie.

He definitely made a good impression on me. His Bojutsu variation is fucking sick. I'm liking what they did with him. He really looks to be fun.

I like Kung Jin. He looks fun, good solid gameplay. I want to find out more about him in Story Mode though. The variation with the three different types of arrows he shoots is pretty sick.

I do have to say his Fatality is probably the worst we've seen. The shooting at the head with arrows just feels "extra" and the entire thing felt flat. Hoping he has a better second Fatality.

Not to me, meaning I was not impressed with him. He is probably my least favorite of the new characters so far.

Now if they had Kung Jin and Raiden exchange dialogue without the actual screen, people would have mistaken it for a Bleach anime sound clip.

I really like Kung Jin. He's awesome. I'll reserve my judgement on his and Takeda's personalities until after story mode. However he has a huge bow with this flamey thingy on top of it which enables him to fire different types of arrows. (Yeah yeah Green Arrow inspired yada yada yada but still how cool is that in an MK game?) And the fact that he can also use his bow as a staff for punishing combos is pretty epic if you ask me. We have a winner here. Just stop comparing him with Green Arrow and you'll be fine ;)

I feel like you are right which makes me a bit upset, he is a pretty cool character, I do hope he sticks around and be in the next one.

Hopefully in Story Mode he will impress people and become an actual favourite, I also hope he would be popular in the competitive scene which would higher his chances of coming back in the next game.

I saw Him has a Green Arrow and Nightwing hybrid.

I am not totally hype for the character but i actually like him, he could be one or maybe the best Zooner in the game, I think we will see him in tournaments and that kind of stuff.
But i feel like he will die in the Story mode.

But he is what? Green Arrow? Yeah unfortunately it's the inevitable first impression you get from him because this game is coming after Injustice. If it was the other way around or if that game didn't exist (which I'm glad it does) this wouldn't even be an issue. It's a shame really. Maybe he'll have enough going on for him to seperate the two. Here's to hoping.

He didn't look boring at all. Loved his Bojutsu variation the most.

Honestly, I thought that all three characters were fantastic.

Mileena
+ Ravenous looks like a ton a fun. One of the best variations I've seen so far. Bite combos plus command grab combos? Easily my favorite variation for her.
+Piercing looks pretty fun as well. Like the zoning options and wow, those sai combos. Love the MK2 fatality reference.
+Really like the way she carries herself. She has a villain's ego and some of her former sexual nature, but neither seem to go overboard.
+ Really like the way she moves and appears to handle. Seems like a clear departure from her MK9 version.
-Ethereal didn't really do it for me. Teleport mixups seem nice, but I feel like more could've gone in to this.
-Not sure what they did with her face. I guess she looks more creature-ish, but her overall mouth structure just looks kinda off to me.

Takeda
+Shirai Ryu is a great variation that manages to use spears and teleports while still feeling unique from Scorpion.
+Lasher seems like a cool midrange move set, but I kinda feel like they could've done more with the electrical charge aspect. Maybe I just haven't seen enough.
+Ronin seems like another solid variation, even if the plasma sword thing has kinda been done already by Sektor.
+His throw looks good.
-His special moves are just kinda okay. Nothing exciting.
-His outfit is among the most boring in the whole game and doesn't really seem to fit his past all that much. Like they tried to combine Kenshi and Scorpion and got something that's far worse than both, and way more dull.
-Not loving another "cocky kid with a tude." Given his life's story, I dunno, this part of him seems odd.

Kung Jin
+Ancestral might seem like a lot of the same stuff, but it also looks like a zoner's paradise. Love the different arrows.
+Bojutsu looks incredibly fun. Probably one of the top ten variations I've seen so far.
+Really dig his overall design. He looks unique and dpesnt feel exaggerated personality-wise.
+Really like how they use his bow and arrow / staff. It's a big part of his character and they take full advantage of it.
-Shaolin is just barely on the minus side since the chakra seems to work an awful lot like Kung Lao's hat so no points for originality, but it doesn't look like a total dud by any means.
-Really hoping he gets a good story, cuz while I like how grounded he seems, I get the feeling that others will find him boring.

Honestly though, I like all three of these characters and if we're talking new characters and longevity, I like Takeda and Kung Jin a lot more than previous game new characters from most other MK games.

They might have a few rough spots to smooth over, but I could see them becoming great, signature series characters, without a doubt.

not feeling him at all. i was really excited about this ascendent of kung lao. but that drasticly vanished ones he was shown yesterday. a stealth thief that walks around with a bow and arrows that are bigger than himself? the way he holds that enormous ugly bow looks so off. also does the bow look too prehistoric edpecially in thr hands of a shaolin. instead i expected to look more ancint in an azian way.

seeing how they messed up kung jin makes me doubt how they will make fujin look if hr ends up in mkx. like how they re used green arrows model for kung jin.im afraid they re use kung jins model to make fujin.

He looks fucking sweet. I liked all three of his variations and how he looks/acts.

Hell yeah he did, most out of all characters and I loved the idea of Mileena and the fact she has the biting variation I wanted for Baraka.

Kung Jin is a mix of all kinds of characters: Liu Kang, Kung Lao & Nightwolf with his own little twist with a lot of different weapons, different types of arrows and the glowing dragon stick is the icing on the cake. It's only his helmet that throws me off and that I expected a little more spiritual stuff with the ancestor variation, but other than that, he's going to be one of my favs I think.

I think he'll be a grower. I will say that Bojitsu looks to be one of the most fun fighting styles in the game.
