please let Erron Black be Salazar! That character looks so extremly awesome!
Ro Tan Cho (the underground crimeboss) would be lovely if he wasn't just another japanese/chinese warrior, too much of those names isn't cool in my book.
I hope he's dressed in purple and behaves much like the vain end-villian from Farcry 4.

I kind of think having two characters with the name "Kung" is a bit funny. I could get over that of course, if they're totally different characters, but right now it just seems a tad bit unlikely. I know there are theories that Kung Jin will become the new Kung Lao; I guess it's possible that the "Lao" could be an inherited name, but everything about Kung Lao I've seen so far leads me to believe he is indeed the same one who was killed in MK9.
I will say Erron Black has a really cool design and it's unique for Mortal Kombat. It would be a shame to not have that design put to use. There's a lot of character in that design alone, not to mention gameplay potential. I haven't really loved any of the new characters yet, but I wouldn't mind seeing Erron Black in the game.

You know what I think? I think "Kung" is a family name. In Asian countries, the norm is for the family name to come FIRST and the given name second. All these years we've assumed Kung Lao and Liu Kang were names following the Western order of name placement, but perhaps Liu is actually Liu's last name and Kung is actually Kung Lao's last name.
That could explain Kung Lao's younger cousin being Kung Jin.

Yeah, they keep fucking up the name orderings. They treat Liu Kang like a Western name and Kung Lao like an Eastern name, and who knows what's up with the way they named the Sub-Zeros (I'm guessing they're either withholding the family name there, or they were raised by different families and somehow reunited as brothers).

Kung Jin, with all these awesome new designs, races (D'vorah and Ferra) and characters.
Kung Jin seems out of place to me.
Boring name, boring description, another human.
