You know what would be cool though, if they actually did bring back Kreate a Fighter?

Being able to play Tag with Kreated fighters.

I dunno, I keep going back and forth on this. On one hand, I'd still rather have a sort of "create a tournament" where you create the whole roster yoruself, use premade panels to write your own story and character bios/endings. Then you could share it with others online.

I'd personally like to see that over just a stock create a character mode where you pick move sets with pre-determined combos (which is what it'd have to be in a combo-heavy game like MK so as to avoid infinites, I'd assume).

I'll say this... It'd be nice to have eitehr kind of mode if they have the time and resources to do them well (much better than MKA's mode, which was adequate, but not nearly as good as it could've been). Give me thousands of options for hairstyles, facial features, tattoos, skin color, clothing, races, weapons, miscellaneous add-ons with tons of DLC to follow.

Do that, and I'll be happy. Allow me to create all of the MK characters that I like that don't make it in to the next game and that'll be cool with me. So yeah do it 100%, because otherwise it's just a tacked on mode that no one touches, that probably winds up taking time and energy away from making another part of the game better.

How about Shujinko as a 'customisable' character ?

In MKD you had to unlock various specials from konquest mode, reflecting his ability to copy the fighting abilities of the others. This idea encompasses Shujinko's character, history in the previous games and fulfils a need for KAF without going too far as to start from scratch.

Perhaps next time around you have the opportunity to unlock all the options but use only a select few (like 4-5 maybe), that way everyone's preferred moves would be on one character yet two Shujinko players could have totally different fighting styles.

I think that's a solid idea. Taking the character from MK:D and really taking it to the next level. I'd still like customizeable clothing for that character though, and it'd be nice to have a ton of special moves that aren't just taken from other characters.

I'd personally prefer to have 7-8 moves for the character, though I do think that the moves would have to be broken down in to certain move types so people can't create some massive powerhouse character or whatever.

Oh and I'd also not want it to be Shujinko. I don't think that a lot of MK fans look on that character and what happened with him overly fondly. Though I guess if NRS can redeem characters like they did in MK9...

I dunno, maybe having some new Shaolin student or Lin Kuei recruit? It's hard to find a way to work a character like that in to the story, so who knows, I guess. But it could be a good idea as opposed to having a ton of created characters, though I still like the whole idea of creating a tournament with all created characters and making your own story, but maybe that's just me.

ummmmmmmm....... no.

its too cheesy for mk and it sucked last time.

anything could be great if done right but the kak just gets repetitive and they become sloppy clones of real fighters.

I only thought of Shujinko because his portion of story is coming next, we know this to be true, and if he's missing it would feel as if the creators copped out, and because it might be a way to endear him to previous haters.

Thinking about it now, 4-5 is a bit weak. I was thinking his fighting style would be unique but the specials although copied could still be uniquely arranged. And yes to move typing. Last time he had too many charge moves, a few disables and not much else.

I really want character creation to come back but it will probably not happen. what people want it to amount to is too high of standards for NRS. sadly character creation in all aspects is not really the teams strong point. i mean look at the lack of dlc for mk9...should say something.

than again many fans do not want them to be original so that also says something...

A kreated fighter can be used to make "secret characters" of MK as Nimbus Terrafaux, Red Robin and other... or characters from comicbooks, movies and series as Siro, Taja, Vorpax, Chan Kang, Art and other.
Who don't want see the sexy Taja in a game? glasses

As a person who loves character creation, I say YES!

I very much enjoyed Armageddon's Kreate-A-Fighter; honestly, it was the main reason I got it and the only reason I kept it.

The best part about it was the fact that we could create our own fighting style. I created so many different styles, it was amazing! Among my favorite was Jthe style for my character John Blane, a British native who faught entirely with his legs. Even his throws involved his legs! grin

I would so love to have that back.

Well honestly I don't know if i'd like this idea. Even if they did it right, I mean IMO. This just seems like one of those games that doesn't need a Creation mode. I would rather them focus more on the characters they have to rebuild, than on a new creation feature. If they were going to do anything like this, I would rather it be a customizable mode. Where you can select specific items and colors to put on a regular cast member. and not do something to outrageous to where it wouldn't be in that characters personality. And to wear it would change their primary costume, but instead add a costume.

EX)

Mileena

Costume 1(Primary)
Costume 2(Alternate)
Costume 3(Retro)
Costume 4(Flesh Pits)
Costume 5(Customized Primary(Alternate, Retro, Flesh Pits)

And Features for the customizable mode could be like

EX)

Mileena

Hair:
Short (regular)
Ponytail
Extensions(Maybe?)

Colors:
Pink
Purple
Lavender
Maroon
Burnt Orange
Black

Nails Color:
Pink
Purple
Lavender
Maroon
Burnt Orange
Black

Patterns:
Plain
Zebra
Checkered
Etc

Shoes:
Different type of heels and boots( Can change colors of lacing and such)

Weapons:
Different Sai's to choose from of course.
Different Colors according to costume colors
Plain sai's

See the possibilitys for this type of mode would be endless, especially if they decide to add more via DLC. smile
