You got some neat ideas but there's already enough of these threads. But i guess i'd love to see Rain, Baraka, Noob and Sindel with some skin packs. I'm hoping for more Erron Black skins

These are the only characters I see being possible for the 2nd Kombat Pack.

Males

Fujin-Easily the most requested character right now.
Rain- Played a nice role in story mode and has a new costume.
Cyrax- People love their Cyborgs
Smoke- Has a decent amount of people wanting him.
Bo Rai Cho- NRS likes him and they redesigned him nicely.
Reiko- Has quite a few fans and a huge part of the komics
Baraka- Very Popular and appeared in story.

Females

Li Mei- NRS likes her, she has a huge role in story and a brand new costume.
Frost- Has a decent fan following.
Sindel- Newish costume and decent fan following.
Sareena- Decent fan following and pretty cool in story.


Noob and Jade were both not included in this list because both of them have their styles being used by others (Johnny and Kitana). They will likely be back in MK11, but not this game.

We will most likely get characters who already have a model in the game, because it is easier than making a whole new model. In MK9, Kenshi and Skarlet had models, they only made new models for Rain and Freddy. In Injustice, Martian Manhunter and possibly Scorpion had models. I feel like its more likely we get characters already in game than not but who knows.

What is against them:

Males

Fujin- NRS leaves him out way too much and I can see them doing that.
Rain- He was DLC in MK9. He is also used as an assist.
Cyrax- No Model and it is implied that he is possibly dead. Used as an assist.
Smoke- He was used for a faction kill. His model isnt too detailed.
Bo Rai Cho- He isnt despised but has quite a few haters.
Reiko- No model and NRS doesnt seem to care much for him.
Baraka- He is dead and boring.

Females

Li Mei- Li Mei doesnt really have anything going against her.
Frost- Has a modified version of Sub-Zeros costume. May be viewed as a clone, even though she is not.
Sindel- Has a modified version of her MK9 costume.
Sareena- Has a modfied version of her Armageddon costume.

Being fightable in story does not mean they will be DLC. They have their MK9 movesets. They have just as much of a chance as any other character. They might also get backlash for making them be paid DLC.

With Cyrax, Smoke, and Rain being used as assist and/or Factions Kills bring their chances down. It would be repetitive to play as Smoke and also have Smoke assist and finish with a faction kill featuring Smoke.

Everything you already said is pretty spot on so I'm just going to add that Rain's chances have possibly gone down a bit because Ed said he wasn't going to repeat DLC but considering he tends to be a lying sack of shit who am I to say

Maybe not, but it does mean they'd be a LOT easier to implement, since not only do they have the character models done, but they have them rigged plus they have a fighting style and a set of special moves already. All they'd have to do would be layer 3 variations on top of that, so it's a lot more feasible.

Personally, I'm hoping they'll at least include Baraka. I don't much care for Rain or Sindel, though. Other than that, I'm more excited about new skins than I am for new characters.

Shang Tsung is another,notice how many hints there are pointing to his inevitable return. He's pretty much a shoe in for MK11(especially since Chi's dead) but he has a chance at returning in MKX.
I still wouldn't have hopes for more of the NPCs being playable. 2 of the 3 returning DLC characters are NOT npcs(Goro and Tremor). keep that in mind. it's definitely easier to make a dlc character out of an NPC,but NRS maybe interested in something else. Hell,Boon's tweet of the Story Pack,especially how obvious it is might instead hint at their complete deconfirmation. after all,he's such a troll(no disrepect intended,for the record) also,Bo Rai Cho's "death" might instead mean they love AND hate the character. kinda like the fanbase's reaction to him.

But all the NPCs have been models that have been rebuilt for MKX tho.

obviously,remember that the engine here,although it is the UE3,it's quite modified in comparison to MK9(based on what modders have said),it's a much more recent version of the engine,so even if they ported the old models,they needed to update the textures,skeletal data,animations,etc. Look at Tournament Scorpion or Hotshot JC,for example.

Spot on I would add Havik to the list as well he's the #2 most requested behind Fujin

We don't even need a 2nd pack, just give meh Fujin and Baraka and all is groovy.. but if they did a 2nd pack & cyrax and reiko were the other two, i certainly would not be butt-hurt.. like at alll

I doubt there will be another kombat pack. Though, considering how much dlc attention Injustice got, I'd hope to see at least 2 or 3 more characters.

Yeah I am expecting 2, maaaaaybe 3 at the absolute maximum.

I hope Smoke makes it in.

Given his cameo appearance in a Lin Kuei Faction Kill, I doubt it. It'd be weird to have him summon himself.

It's never gonna happen, but I'd actually like 2 more packs.

:) Personally I would like to see Li Mei, Frost and Bo rai cho the most from the story. But one thing i notice NO ONE is talking about is the fact that a future dlc could be a brand new character to the MK universe. Everyone has their mindset stuck on characters from old or characters from storymode. There is sadly also a big chance of new guest characters.

I highly doubt there would be a 3rd guest. A new character prkbably wont happen since we got Tremor and because Skarlet sold the least in MK9.

Yeah I wouldn't expect any more guests for this game, they gotta save some for MK11

The whole reason I made this thread was so we could discuss who is possible. Everyone on MKO is a thread nazi. If you create more than one topic a day theres gonna be hell to pay. Damn.
