Ever since it was announced that MKX storyline would span through 25 years, i wanted Jax to be in because i always knew would be hugely badass as an aged warrior. This is the best look he's had to date, even his revenant skin is pretty damn cool, especially compared to other revenants. He has a FRAKING rocket launcher on his back, how cool is that? As for his gameplay, i have no doubt in my mind he'll be cool, he has always been an unique character, with some subtle grabs. I'm really hope they don't mess up by having Jacqui have similar moves, or worse straight up stealing his moves like they did with Cassie and Cage.

Jax has always been a "secondary" favorite of mine, but if his gameplay ends up being really cool, and finally give him unblockable grabs, thus making him a REAL grappler and not a semi-one like he's been in the past, then he'll move to main territory for me. Who's excited for Jax?

I'm insanely excited for Jax. He's the only character I want to see gameplay for and I'm really glad someone created an appreciation thread, so thanks diirecthit.

Jax looks fucking great in this game and I can whole-heartedly say that this is the best he's ever looked. I feel like Jax and Jacqui get lots of hate from people because (and a fuck-load of people are going to hate me/disagree with me for saying this) their favourite characters didn't make it in, so they find the characters they deem the most 'unworthy' of being in and criticise them for being shit characters. It's not a great thing to hear a character you like get constantly shit on, but I digress.

Jax is back and he looks better than ever. Seeing him in that Achievement Screenshot got me really hyped for him even more, so I honestly can't wait for him!

I knew Jax would be back the day Kitana got revealed. I wanted Jax in the game since the game's reveal, because, like i said, he would be fucking boss as an aged warrior, but i knew it was unlikely since he was dead, but with Kitana back, Jax had to be back too (these 2 characters never missed a game since their debut, if we count vanilla and updated versions as one) and the team loves him so much.

I mean, i agree, some people are pretty fucking mad at their favorites missing the cut, but many other characters did and it's pretty fucking annoying seeing people constantly bitching about Jax of all characters. They are in no position to judge who's worthy- or not- to be in the game, and NRS clearly still consider Jax an icon and popular, as does the fanbase, especially the casual fanbase, who still play Jax and enjoy the character to this day.

definitely happy Jax is in. i'm wondering if they are going back to his Deception(PSP) story,as in,he gets killed off,revived,then starts to atone for the crimes he committed as a revenant,although a new,fresh take on it(most likely him growing older + his daughter in the mix)

Meh is what I think whenever I see Jax. I like the guy and I think he will always have a place in MK but nothing too special about him especially with the inclusion of Tremor. He along with a couple other characters have always been boring story wise, gameplay wise however Jax is powerful and is a pretty impressive character.

Design wise, nothing too special. the guy is just boring aside from gameplay which again I don't know how it'll work when we have Tremor. Are they both going to be pounding the ground but with different effects :/.

All and all not at all excited to see Jax or play as him, he always had great gameplay but as long as I can't relate to the character I don't even bother with them, and Jax is one boring ass character.

Although I am happy for his fans :).

That's the only way I can truly accept Jax in MKX. I LOVE command throws, which is why Solomon Grundy was one of my favorites for Injustice.

Now back on topic, I'm glad Jax made it, this is his best design, and I also like how huge he seems to be this time.

Alright im gonna have to go ahead and say it lol not everybody not excited about Jax is mad about a favorite being absent from the game lol A couple of my favorites are in this game, and im still not excited for Jax (Happy for his fans though) cant speak for everybody but I just never took a huge liking to him (I don't dislike him) but he's never been a favorite of mine, but im not hating on him because somebody else I like isn't in lol

I'm pumped for Jax. He was one of the funnest characters to play in MK9. I love the subtle things they did with his costume like the American flag wrapped around his robot arm, but his revenant costume looks awesome, easily my favorite revenant costume in the game. I'm all for those unblockable grabs as well, hope he has a badass grapple variation. If he has that I will HAVE to play him. Would be cool too if he had some kinda rivalry with Tremor, would really spice up both of their story lines. Mainly excited to see his variations tho

I don't get this argument. Cassie and Sonya/Cage i understand because she has the nut punch and variants of Sonya's moves, BUT several characters being SF doesn't mean shit when we've had Sonya and Jax playable for years and they don't have moves that are even remotely similar.

I can agree with this. As excited as I am to see his gameplay, I wouldn't have been sad if he hadn't of made the cut. He's the only special forces character thats interesting to me, but the special forces in general are not the most interesting part of MK. And its annoying the roster for such an awesome game has been catered mostly to them and their allies. Hopefully the story mode shakes things up tho and things aren't so one sided.

Jax has always been one of my favorite characters and one of my mains during the 3D era especially in MKvsDCU where he was especially dope. I didn't play with him much in MK9 partly because I hated his gross tube-y arms but his style had a good flow to it so I'm excited to see how me plays this time.

I need those variations from him, Jacqui, and Sonya this Thursday tbh.

Idk about that one :) Maybe its just my own interpretation of the character but I don't see him being the kind of dude to be mad or "salty" about Sonya being his superior now, I always thought he was pretty respectful and fond of her, if anything I think he will be proud to see her in a higher position.
