I honestly didn't get into Friday the 13th until I was in 7th grade. They did an entire marathon of all the movies and I just so happened to be home sick with the flu.

It's been a rough morning, but I'm feeling a bit better now. Thanks for the kind words. I haven't even gotten to say how much I love the way Jason looks already. Was hoping he'd look more like Freddy vs Jason, but reboot-ish Jason is just a nice to see. Really cool inclusion and I can't wait to see his fatalities and the way he interacts with the others before the fight.

Now if we can just get Ash in the game as the next guest...

See, I think that's where the whole got deeper just when I thought I was already six feet under. I had never been big on super heroes. I did like some, but they were mainly Marvel, and it was only really for the mythology. So the fact that it ended up being DC, was like a double-slap in the face and didn't do anything to help the situation at the time. I was also like, what, 15/16 or something like that...so that definitely didn't play to my advantage either, hah. Woohoo for ragin' hormones!

Thankfully, I've become much more open-minded since, and have actually come to like quite a few DC characters and their stories, as well as a few extra Marvel folk. They were just never a "thing" for me, or "not my cup of tea" or whatever expression fits appropriately here. In other words, I appreciate them, I just never went out of my way for them. If that makes any sense, lol. DBZ, TMNT, Power Rangers, and naturally, Mortal Kombat were the stars of my childhood.

I was never really into superheroes all the much growing up, a little Batman in Kindergarten, a little X men and Spiderman when those movies came out, a tiny bit of Hulk in 4th grade when that crap movie came out, then I hated them all for some reason lol

I got into middle school and just gained some ridiculous hate for a lot of Superheroes, especially Superman.

That's why I was kind of pumped for MKVSDC, I was happy that (I thought) I would be able to kill Superman and Batman in the most brutal ways imaginable.

Then INGAU was announced and I didn't care, but since it was made by NRS I decided to give it a chance and liked it a lot , I also starting liking the characters too, even my old fiction nemesis, Superman lol

Damn, I know you're not Christian (and I apologize firsthand if anyone finds this offensive) but I'll still be praying for you.

I would be highly surprised if anyone did. I, myself, have lots of issues with religion in general but when its used as a means of showing love and support, there's nothing to argue about, its just human beings showing kindness to other human beings.

Good lord. Just went through a few pages of the Mk vs DC thread. Haha, I've pretty much sunk as far into my chair as humanly possible.

...all that, and I honestly enjoyed the game. MK vs DCU saved the franchise. Real talk.

I just don't want to offend anybody or anything, so I tend to tread lightly when I speak of my beliefs. I sincerely hope Killswitch is okay however. Losing a pet is never easy.

Its pretty much 2009 Jason, the jacket isn't as loose fitting or worn, and the colors is a little off but that's the closest one to me. I have compared it too all of his appearances from part 3 up to 2009 and none match 100%

LOL wow that @KenshiMaster16 MKDC salt. Great stuff lol I honestly would have agreed with you back then. That's around the time I lost interest in MK, and I rented it and didn't buy it until it was like $10.

@Killswitch very sorry to hear that man. I lost my pug last May and I just try to ignore it. It really sucks losing a pet and especially like that, I hope things start to look up for you.

@redman Dude, you have no idea. lol Still to this day the only MK game I do not own. I'm grateful for everything WB has done for NRS and MK but I will never, ever own that game. lol I'm about as hardcore an MK fan as a Batman / James Bond fan and I go nuts when I see stuff I don't like. lol

@unleash Fuck yeah it is, Craig and Connery take the cake. Probably the only two men I have a legit man-crush on despite being a totally straight man. lol

LOL Might I just add though, if Sony ever wants to partner up with WB and let James Bond take a crack at the MK Universe, I'd be all down.....as long as there are skins for all of the Bonds.

So, might we speculate as to how they'll explain his inclusion. They actually did a pretty good job of explaining Freddy in MK9(loved his ending).

There could be a number of ways to go here. If this is "Zombie Jason"(doesn't appear so) Shinnok could have enslaved/enlisted him during the Netherrealm invasion. He could also just play the wild card ala Scorpion in UMK3. He just kind of escapes during the invasion and does what Jason does.

Another possibility, we don't actually know where the Dead Woods are...could they be Crystal Lake adjacent and he's just protecting his turf?

Or there could be kind of a sub mythos developing among guest characters. Freddy is still trapped among the living since Nightwolf wasn't around to send him packing. Could Jason's travels in MKX lead him to finish a weakened Freddy? Could Freddy once again have a hold over Jason's mind?

Damn I'm happy to be able to have a discussion like this.

The idea of Jason actually being a part of the MK story in some form or fashion, even at it's base level of just the arcade ending, makes me giddy.

I love the idea of Crystal Lake being part of the Dead Woods, and he's just protecting his turf. I also really like the idea of a connected story with him and Freddy, and he's just coming by to settle an old feud.

I'm anxious to see it all play out either way.
