I knew it. Jax's daughter Jacqui Briggs and her sister Kassonya Cage will help save Earthrealm from all the villains, such as Kano and Quan Chi, etc.

We might have a female boxer in the MKX roster! How badaass is this? I think it's great.

But Tanya is not worried.... because she will easily take care of those newbies! LMAO. Hopefully!

MKX will be a krazy mess!

It's CASSIE Cage. And where did you get the name of Jax's daughter* from? Sounds like you just pulled it out of your rear. Jackie is waaaay too predictable of a name. I would suggest naming her Terra but that is too close to Ferra.

* - We are ASSUMING the young woman Jax was training in the comic is his daughter. That is PROBABLY who she is but still, we don't know for sure.

I...what...why are the names purposefully being misspelled? You can't just call characters whatever the hell you want, what's to stop people from deciding Scorpion should be called Dave and Sub Zero Rodney?

I can't find the thread, I think it got absorbed into a news post. But yeah it was the IGN Preview of Comic #4 and Interview with Kittelsen.

Never explicitly said it, but called Jax 'Uncle Jax' so.....

I think Maria is either really young or a non-native speaker of English, who doesn't understand/write the language all that well. I think that explains her odd posts.

Nah, there's non-native English speakers all over the internet and they don't post like adbots for Tanya, complete with random 'k's and deliberate misspellings.

Chrome on MKO, for instance, has better English than 99% of the board and several American posters have appalling English. So it can't just be that

Remember Johnny Cage's FLAWLESS trophy fatality, from MK9?

I think Jacqui should have a fatality like that... instead, she just puts an Olympik gold medal around the opponent's neck.

That Cage fatality was such a good idea, they should recycle it, use it again in MKX. lol

When Cassie is saying "Uncle Jax" Cassie is speaking from Jacqui's persepective. Jax is Jacqui's uncle. Jax is not related to Cassie at all.

But Cassie also says Jacqui did not get Jax's bionic arms while she DID get Johnny's shadow kick...to me the parallel she is making there is of daughter vs. daughter.

You are reading too much into Cassie calling Jax uncle, assuming that means he is Jacqui's uncle. This may be a cultural thing but here in the States, it is relatively common for a close friend of your parents/parent to be referred to as "uncle" or "aunt" if they are like family. And Jax certainly would be like family to Sonya and her daughter.

I didn't mean it in a literal way, though. Jax is Kassie's "uncle", because they are good friends.

Cassie could have used the word "uncle" from Jacquie's perspective or from her own. It is not 100% official.

Why would Jacqui be named after one of her uncles? The name "Jacquie" is literally like a female version of the name "Jax".
Does Jacquiline's actual father have an ugly name??? I mean LOL??

Must be a cultural thing because I have never known this.

Why does Jacqui look similar to Jax if they are not related?

Anyway we will find out tomorrow. I can not wait to find more about Kotal Kahn more specifically his origins.
