JR: I must admit that D'Vorah has impressed me alot. I do think Cassie is awesome and she reminds me alot of other favourite characters of mine, but D'Vorah has an originality to her that I quite like. I've always thought an insectoid/spider-like character would be awesome to see in Mortal Kombat, and D'Vorah is exactly that. So I'm going to pick D'Vorah.

Kano is the one who has impressed me the least.

JR: Cassie's Fatality with her shooting the kneecaps off the opponent and then in the forehead, placing her gum at the hole and then it makes a bloody bubble. It's not the most impressive Fatality graphic wise, but it fits so perfectly and it is just so funny! A Fatality doesn't need to be all about slashing limbs off or crushing heads.

JR: D'Vorah's Swarm Queen, Cassie's Spec Ops and Kotal's Blood God.

JR: D'Vorah. We already know bits of information about Cassie and Kotal (and I don't really care about Ferra/Torr), while D'Vorah remains secretive. We only know she works for Kotal.

1.) D'Vorah has impressed me, I like her unique design and look forward to playing around with her. Cassie on the other hand has not. Her personality seems fun but design wise I think she is a little too bland, and her model looks a bit out of proportion at the moment (they might fix it, but we also said that about Kitana's hair.

2.) Probably Kano's. Scorpions would be better IMO if it wasn't so excessive. He kills them and then slices their face off? Not really necessary - just the face slice would have been good enough for me.

3.) Cyromancer Scropion, Swarm Queen D'vorah and Displacer Raiden.

4.) D'Vorah - I'm looking forward to hearing about her race and her relationship with Kotal.

5.)They are all equally good to me, not one that I prefer to the others so far. Looking forward to seeing the stage fatalities.

6.) I would say Jade, but since I had her in MK11, then I'm going with Li Mei. Lots of potential for a great character and moveset.


7.) The fact that it will be half new characters and half old with such a limited roster space. I'm excited for new charcaters, but I'm more excited for returning favourites. There will definitely be some disappointment in this aspect.

1) So far, I'd say Ferra/Torr has me most excited. NRS did brute characters very well in Injustice, and I'm excited to see that crossover into MK. I'm also curious to see how they'll fit into the lore.

D'vorah is the one I'd say I'm least impressed with. Gameplay looks interesting, maybe that'll be enough to change my mind, but I won't know that till I play the game.

2) Cassie's fatality by far. Simple, brutal, funny. All the ingredients for a great fatality.

Jade. She has been my favourite character since hiding away in MK2. I want her to be in any way she can, even if it's possessed by the woman in her ending, just give her back her dark skin, more like in Deception. I never really understood why her appearance and skin tone altered with every costume she had in MK9, she appeared Latino, black, white and orient-Asian... Confusing.

I guess the interactables are a little tame, they fit Injustice but so far they're a little non-violent for MK. That took so long to come up with, I've not been disappointed to the point that it came to mind instantly at all with this game.

1. I can't say that there's anyone that hasn't impressed me at all. There are things about every character revealed so far that I've been impressed with. As for who has impressed me the most, it's somewhere between Sub-Zero and Kotal Kahn.

2. Scorpion's fatality is the one that's impressed me the most.

3. The 3 variations I'll definitely be using are Grandmaster Sub-Zero, Cybernetic Kano, and Hellfire Scorpion.

4. Kotal Kahn is the new character so far that I'd like to learn more about.

5. I like The Kove the most, but the Jungle is also a really nice stage.

6. That's a tough one, but I'll have to say that I'd like to see Havik return. He has a fair bit of versatility to his character, plus the gameplay variations could make for interesting play styles for him.

7. Are you talking about one thing I don't like about one particular character or the game in general? If you're talking about the former, I'll have to say that it's Cassie Cage's face, especially the eyes. It just ruins Christmas spirit. If you're referring to the latter, I don't like the design of the super meter, because it looks somewhat faded into the background. I like the design of the super meter in MK 2011. I was going to bring up the super meter having 3 bars like in MK 2011 instead of 4 like in Injustice, but given the ability to meter burn throws and interactables will make more use of super meter. So with that said, it shouldn't be as much of a problem.

8. After I spend time in practice mode, I'll go into story mode to get the jist of the story as the endings of the arcade mode will touch on things in the story mode.

One thing I don't really like is the caracter select screen. I like how it's animated and you can see the characters and how they look in their different variations but I feel as though it could use more detail. I don't care too much though. It's not something that will make me enjoy the game less.
