i hope this isn't the roster.

Geez I hope not that would be a very very disappointing roster if that was the case do we really need so many family characters; Jax/jacqui, cassie/Sonya/cage and kenshi/takeda????? I thought the idea of introducing new legacy characters was so we could do away with their parents they have hd enough of a run and as for Liu kang I really really hope he is not back time for a new MK champ we are well over due he is done!

Fortunately I know this roster leak is bullshit we won't see Jax, cage, Mileena, Sonya or Liu kang again I have faith in boon and his team I doubt they will be back

Well Sonya is all but confirmed. Mileena will be in no doubt. And Jax was briefly seen.

Why is everyone ignoring the Kung Jin bow man tidbit. That's not a safe bet like the roster is. If the bow man is Kung Jin, then this guy is right. Not that we'll find out before the game releases.

Also, the guy said QA, not Q&A. That's a dev department (quality assurance), not an interviewer.

Kung Jin as the bow guy discredits the whole thing for me. That alien weapon does not fit his character whatsoever...Still, this is probably close to what we are going to get based on the next trailer and comics.

If we're supposed to assume Bo' Rai Cho is Kung Jin's teacher, then it's probable Bo' gives him an Outworld weapon from his personal collection or something. That is if Jin prefers archery.

This thread is the third time I've seen people call bow guy Kung Jin.

I don't think this is real, but it very well could be. If they save Fujin for DLC i'm gonna be kinda pissed because he should be on the main roster. I want to see him in the actual story and not just as a background character, but if he is I guess I would be okay with that. I just want him in the game.

Besides, if people really want to play through the Netherrealm Wars in story mode, Earthrealm would have next to no one on their side to play as otherwise unless it's just story mode scenes

What are Sonya, Jax, raiden, cage, Liu kang just meant to fight quan chi and shinnok over and over again in the story??? This roster is bogus and a boring prediction it had better not be legit

Uh, there's more people for them to beat up than Quan Chi and Shinnok, I'm pretty sure the story modes of the last two games prove this In fact, I'm pretty sure every character was fought in story mode last time

Ah I was talking about the nethereealm invasion part of the story as you mentioned it in your comment before who else will be apart of that? The only nethereealm warrior at present is quan chi so who will all these returning earth realm warriors fight in the invasion???

You must've missed the part in MK9's story mode where Johnny and Sonya were the only Earthrealm defenders to survive Raiden's herpdederp buttfuckery shitfest and Quan Chi somehow got his hands on the souls of the fallen, who will presumably be undead revenants under his and Shinnok's control during those parts of MKX, and some of them like Kung Lao, Kitana, Jax, and Sub-Zero are presumably freed and returned to life afterwards

If there's any indication from spoilers from the comic, seeing as the Netherrealm attacks both Earth and Outworld, I'm guessing the most likely candidates include;

Right so you're saying that all the bad guys in the netherrealm part of the story who johnny Sonya and raiden fight will be kitana, Jax sub zero and such and then they will all come good and be earth realm heroes for the remainder of the story? Well that would suck balls and I hope you are wrong but I never really thought of that angle so we shall see what happens

Those are the ones we know are most likely based on what we've seen thus far, yeah. We know there will be cameos galore, so I'd say Sareena, Kia & Jataaka are also just as likely so thats 3 more. Hell, that could also include Reiko and Ashrah for all we know.

Yeah but cameos won't be fighting in story mode they will just be mentioned I would much rather have those three in and playable then going over the same ground with friggin Jax, Sonya, cage, Kung Lao, kitana and Liu kang but we shall see I am hoping for at least two to three more netherrealm fighters and real netheralm fighters not just revenants who later turn back to good guys but we shall see

And that is why I always temper my expectations
