No one truly knows yet. In a way I'd like to see it. I'd honestly rather have him playable.

Waay back at Eurogamer I got to play an early build of MKX and meet Derek Mears.

The first thing I did was look into his eyes and ask "Is Havik coming back?". He flashed me a look which either said, 'Is there a fucking leak at NRS?', OR 'Why the hell is someone asking about a random like Havik?'

Either way, I couldn't read him.

He finished the conversation with, "I know you're gonna be extremely happy with this game". Who the hell knows. Well played Derek!!

Some say Havik,
Some say Shinnok,
Some say Liu Kang,
and others say Reiko.

Not to mention the awkward silence following his mention on one of the Kombat Kasts.

Now I need to go watch all of the kombat kasts to read their body language and determine if havik is in or not.

Knowing his role in the comics, it's either him, Reiko or one of them as a sub-boss. That is if any of them survive the comics of course.

I'm still affirming that Havik is the sub-boss, and Blood God Reiko is the final boss.

If I'm right, will someone please remember and acknowledge me when the time comes?

Naw I don't think Havik or shinnok. I'll go with what someone else, said. Reiko as the blood gob as the comic hints or a playable boss as liu kang. Unless reiko is playable boss too. Who, knows.

Liu Kang seemed like the boss to me but the arrow is heading in another direction. I could se a blood God Havik or Reiko being the main Boss, I just got an idea for another threat.

Yes I am hoping and leaning towards this as well. This would be so much better then stupid Liu kang being the boss. As for shinnok I think people are really missing the hint of a surprise returning charcater that is just not shinnok he would not be a surprise plus it looks like he gets owned in the first chapter by johnny cage somehow????

Havik would make a great boss! And I hope Reiko is in and possibly unlockable

While it would be great, nothing hints towards Havik / Reiko other than the comics, the chaos potential involvement in the story and Shao Kahn's relics + library stage. The latter obviously could be Quan Chi and the comics also hint at either or both deaths so..

I like the idea of Shinnok as blood demon, but Havik / Reiko as boss + sub-boss would be even more awesome. Lui Kang from hero to boss would be very weird, though him becoming a fire god and corrupted would be cool, just not as a boss.

Liu Kang is definitly going to be in this game one way or another. His role is monstrous in Mortal Kombat. Liu is like the Kobe Bryant of Mortal Kombat.


As for Havik. Cant really picture him as anything more then a foot solider, perhaps a back messager, buy hey, I would welcome Havik.btw.

The final boss is Shinnok. It will take all the daggers and raiden to seal him off for good. Blood god suspects,kotal kahn and raiden.

Idk. My mind changes almost everyday about who the boss will be. I love it LoL. I'm leaning towards Shinnok now. I think we'll fight him in chapter 1, then he'll come back super powerful at the end. Possibly Reiko or Havik as sub-boss.

Kotal khan , but then again they said the big bad will be someone we've known for awhile .

Its safe to say that shinnok is likely,unless something happens in the comic that will make reiko or havik stand out of which I highly doubt.

Still holding out some hope for Blood God Reiko.
