Interesting Idea about Noob Saibot and Reiko

Regardless if Noob Saibot is Bi Han or not, It would be interesting if Noob Saibot became a Rival to Reiko for leadership of the Brotherhood of the Shadow.

I know that Quan Chi is the Arch Sorceror of the Brotherhood and is a major power player. I would love to see more politics within the Brotherhood of Shadow. I am not saying to make Reiko or Noob Saibot "good" people but two rivals haves different ideas for the Brotherhood of Shadow.

Yes with Reiko, if he returns, it should acknowledge his past as a general of Shao Kahn and why he working with Shinnok now. Of course, Reiko will still have a Shao Kahn's helmet fetish.

As for Noob Saibot, it would be cool if it was acknowledge his shadow palette of Scorpion, Kano and Sub Zero in both lore and game mechanic. Also Acknowledge the Outworld and Netherrealm ties(reference MKDA gameboy, MKConquest) in Noob Saibot's lore/bio.


It could be good, or completely shitty as hell. at least it is an interesting idea.

I am not surprised about that. Reiko is so so in the best of times. Side Note: I do believe that Sareena and Asharh should get some more screen time as well and somehow tie them to the Brotherhood of the Shadow and Quan Chi. Then again it is just me.


if any of my ideas get into MKX, I would be surprised, and I do hope they are done properly to be good. Good story is important, so is good Game play. No matter how good of a story Reiko can get, if he doesn't have good gameplay, he would be not be liked as much, the converse is true with Him.

I do admit I like him there is much room for improvement with him

Well, why else would they have Reiko in the game or do anything with him if he was not relevant? That is the most simple assumption one can make. If the idea was to come to frution Reiko would have to be relevant enough to to be in the game or what have you. What is the point of suggesting ideas for characters that are irrelevant? None. Which is why no one gives ideas about characters that are irrelevant such as Mokap, Meat etc etc.

And to OP, I would love to see that in MKX, that would be really cool to see how the brotherhood of shadow are when they're together. And it would make sense for Reiko and Noob to butt heads since they both seem power hungry. Sadly its a pretty big "if" for them to both be in the game, and a even bigger "if" if the chimps with type writers and cigars on the NRS writing staff can do more than write mindless henchmen with no personality or story arc. I mean its amazing they can communicate through the written word and all but I just feel like the chimps on NRS's writing staff care more about returning to the jungle than fleshing out classic MK characters.

It's always appeared to me that Reiko's actually one of the most popular characters of the MK4 and Armageddon rosters and the only reason he's not in games is the DEVELOPERS are the ones not interested in him, much like Drahmin, which is a shame.

I think Reiko was not really liked much before MKA. Even when I still don't like him very much, I must say his and Fujin's were the best revamps of that game.



On topic, I'm not sure how much sense would make for them to fight. One is an spy/assassin an the other one is a general, they are not in the same line. Sure, both of them want power, but because of their clearly different lines of work, I can't see how one could take it from the other. I wouldn't mind if they did it, I just can't really picture it.

it is more of a conflict of ideas in the direction of the Brotherhood Of Shadow is a potential way for both Noob Saibot and Reiko become Rivals.

I like them, and I do see potential in them

I wouldn't go THAT far, but yeah, Reiko was my main in MK4. His shuriken Fatality was one of the better ones in the game.

Reiko's got his fans. He could use a tad more background exposure, but I'd love to see him come back and be one more character who rises above "goon" status. No better time than MKX.

Some really childish comments on here..its really disappointing
Don't knock someone because he/she doesn't like a character that other people like. I believe that Reiko be in MKX, and that he can be fucking awesome.
HOWEVER, the reason why some people, including myself, don't care as much for Reiko is because he has NO interesting background other than the fact that he's a general. That's it. People knock the MKDA-MKD characters for being "typical henchmen", yet as far as we know, thats exactly what Reiko is, even more so.

Like I said, NRS can find a way to make him a cool character, but for now, I'd rather take guys like Dairou and Kobra. Yeah I said it..Kobra!

I want my Kobra vs Stryker rivalry Dammit! furious

But I digress.
