Takeda is Godlike. My Sub-Zero might have to take a back seat in this game, and that's REALLY saying something.

Kung Jin has nothing that even comes close to Liu Kang other than his "Flying kick" which is actually explained by him using the staff to propel himself.

Other than that, nothing close to Liu Kang.

Liu Kang will be in MKX and will be in all the future Mortal Kombat games, Scorpion and Subby might be staples of the series but Liu Kang is the heart of it.

Takeda doesn't have a bicycle kick, so no.

Still in my top 5, yo. And I'm not even the biggest Liu fan. Also, the Bicycle Kick is one of the most iconic move in the series. He's in no danger of being broken down and "replaced". Back burner, maybe, but that's seriously it.

Also I forgot to say thet Kung Jin has actualy the excat same moves as Green Arrow and Nightwing, Hs flying kick is just the same animation where you playing as Night Wing using his staff press Back 3 (X on PS)

Liu Kang brought NOTHING to the game after MK2. I agree he "was" the champion. But he lived on that bicycle kick like a welfare uses stamps.

By nothing you mean what?? New moves, You can just give new moves to a character just to make him look fresh I mean, Just give Liu a Teleport or a Stun hit like the Spear and you yould have to balance the roster around an antizoner rushdown zooner middle space parry character!

Ihe has ever been a Key element to the story, Even when he died was the first MK where the Goog guys didn ́t won that changed the series Forever but even then They need him as a character because how iconic he his and that has been his contribution after MKll

Johnny has a new role now as mentor of the new Kids, thats why he is Raidens Champion, But he never won a mortal Kombat, Even when I love Johnny i have to admit that in a 2 againts 1 figth he got beat by the Guy who Liu Beat (referenced as his four MK vistory in MKDeception)

I don't get why everyone who dislikes heroic characters INSISTS that they make cliche, nonsensical moral descents into villainy. That doesn't ever guarantee a better character and it's usually worse off for it. And just because it's change, doesn't mean it's good character development.

Just accept that something you dislike is popular to a lot of people. It's like people hating on Superman because he's a goody two shoes and powerful and it makes them feel insecure or it's "boring" to them because he doesn't have to be a dick to be entertaining.

I also feel like Takeda is the new Lui Kang too, not sure why, but he just feels like a Lui Kang, with Scorpion and Iron Man 2's villain lol
