guys, if we wait till 2008, and not get a game in 2007, and the mk team gets DOUBLE the time it took for them to make their other games, then what things should u expect?

im hoping a playable version of mk4

a special edition for twenty more dollars comes with collectible figure, collectible book, mk4 AND mk trilogy, and a hard metal case, and dvd extras book, history of mk vid

co-op or single conquest

replays and savable replays

maybe 20 new characters with 15 returning ones

aleast 3 fatalitiesfor every character, a babality, brutality, animality, friendship, etc. for all the characters

VIDEO endings

krypt back with ALL of the full a-z koffin rows

extra vids, and pics, like in the other games

a new mini game, for example: motor kombat and chess kombat, but a new different one

viewable endings

3 alternate costumes for everyone

most stages ever

k.a.k back.

a story that makes sense

tag team kombat, survival, tournament mode, 3 on 3, 4 on 4, etc.

... i know all of these features may seem a little over-the top, but if they have double the time, and as we are in the next gen, they should put all this stuff. am i right? and btw share your ideas.

yeah that would all be pretty cool just I dont know about babalities and friendships, it seems like that would be pretty pointless to add and quite frankly if they added in babalities and friendships it would be pretty stupid. But other than that everything here would be pretty cool to see.

why would the game have mk4? thats what MAT3 would be for, and alot of those things you asked for we already have or don't need. They need to perfect the game fighting system and story, not worry about extras and other modes.

please let Midway team work on MK8 without breathing on Ed 's neck!
If we wait and do not complain about a new game or infos and news about MK8,i'm sure that Midway will work better.
And about your request....
I really hope that a lot of classic characters will be back;i aslo want a KAK(not KAF) and MKGold withpot glitches in it.
I want a slo a pluri-character Konquest mode,like Shaolin Monks.

Its not about us waiting for the next Mortal Kombat game.

Its more about Midway really and their time limit/budget for the game.

Most of your ideas seem quite good really and some rival fighting games accomplish similar amounts of extras.

You'll probably never see a 3 on 3 3D fighting game though. Too much memory involved.

well, shinnok fan 64 i said they should put mk4 with it bcuz:

in deception, they had playable version of mk1 in special edition

in shaolin monks they had playable version of mk2

in armageddon, they had playable version of umk3

so dont u think they should put mk4 for the next game? it kinda seems like theyre going in order

My god cant you people just appreciate what they give you. No they dont need to release a "collectors" edition, with action figures metal case. MK4 and MKT and other crap that they said. So does every MK game now need to have some sort of collectors edition just because MKD and MKA had them.

Shaolin Monks was a let down for a lot of people due to its shortness and extreme storyline flaws. Maybe they should have focused on the main project rather than throw in extras to appease everyone and coverup said flaws?

Then there's MK:A. Look around on here. MK:A pisses a lot of people off. They need to stay focused on the actual game this go around, or there will be fans lost.

I'm stickin' with this for now:

Only on the Disk

1. The Fight No mini games, no conquest, just the fight part of the game should actually be on the disk.

2. Kreate a Kharacter Considering that we're talking about a next generation console game. This feature should almost be at a default. People want to make a good representation of themself, or simply have creative control within a game they like. KaK does this. This next Mk game, we should see vast improvements upon the (arguably) extremely well done MkA KaK feature.

3. 36 Arenas sounds good to me. There's what, 9 realms to consider? 4 Arenas per realm at least is good enough for a "Start all over" kind of game.

3b. Full Arena Interactivity I would love to see a day where we could fight all up, in, and through an arena. This opens up options for finding in-game secrets, triggers for arena hazards and fatalities, and heightens the intensity of any given battle.

By the time we get this new game, we could have arenas where the sun actually sets in dramatic fasions, very realistic interpretations of "outter-space" arenas(maybe an arena that resembles the moon, mars, or jupiter and thier mutiple moons and suns)

Fights that aren't limited to "the arena" itself, but instead have the capabillity to go up into the crowd. A multitude of options blossom with this idea.

4. Blood codes (blood, just sweat, and old school "kick dust"). They should all play a part when blood is optioned "on".

Blood looked it's best from this series in the earlier days. This will probably be dramticized. As it should. These guys are the some of the Kings of blood splatter in fighting games, we shouldn't worry about blood.

Sweat would happen for simple, low % attacks. Jabs, little slaps to the face...ect

For Kick Dust, all you have to think of are those old Martial Arts movies. When they kicked or punched, and they connected, it added to the excitement that was doing on in the fight.

These should be codes we find. Once found and unlocked, they become options in your "Options Menu" along with controller, difficulty, and sound FX adjustments.

5. 3-5 True Fatalities Per Charater This should be no problem. The next gen consoles have the capability of much more. Plus, with at least 3 fatalities per character, it keeps "how you can kill your opponent" fresh. Giving you an array of options at the end of a match.

This could even be based on skill level(explain in a bit) to where, you can only do good, but basic fatalities at first.

6. Test your Might//Test your Sight I always believed these things could be so much more. They could be parts of the game, right outside of the fighting arena that relate directly to that specific arena. For instance, test your might for an arena like The Living Forrest could have you bust down some of those trees before the vines/animals//insects consume you("Test Your Might: Creatures of the Living Forrest"....ect)

Character builders, that's what the Test your might//Test your sight games could be. Depending on how well you did, you get experience points allowing you to "beef up" your characters abillities, stregnths, speacial moves, or even potential of "higher end" fatalities.

This has a bunch of potential too because, it could apply to arcade mode only, or vs mode....and even online play...

7. 5 Speacial Moves Per Character....at least. There is enough conceptual material in current movies to accomplish, and even superseed a request like this. Ideas shouldn't lack at all. Even if we had like 50 characters.

Instead, I kinda feel like they were holding out in this area for the last couple games. Got wind of the new consoles, and decided to "save the best for next gen". I almost expect nothing less than mind blowing because of this.

8. 25-30 Character Approximatley 10-15 "Old Characters" and approximately 10-15 "New Characters".

Some of our characters are immortal simply put. And would//should be there or have some connection to the contest of Mortal Kombat no matter "when" the contest is held. Since we are dealing majorily with mortals, more than 40yrs in the past or future(depepnding on when the next contest is set) alot of the characters ages would prohibit them from exsistance. Now, unless some retcons are in order, even a character like Liu Kang wouldn't even exist yet...or then. I say that because the "Champ" is granted with a longated life-span as long as he keeps winning Mortal Kombat.

For new characters, relation simply to the tournement itself is all it should take. That, or like before, relativity to another character already heavily involved with Mortal Kombat would be in order.

I'd like Mk to be set in the past a few hundred years, or like 50-100yrs immediate future. So the characters should reflect.

9. Aggressor and Brutalities I liked these for their potential in the older games.

Aggressor, could be relative to a tier of special moves you could perform in a fight.....exploiting the "up-grades" you made to that particular character, through all your efforts in Test your Might/Sight ect. It would be strictened only to a certain amount of time and would allow you to do 1-2 "extra-speacial" moves or something....

Brutalities could be a full explotation of a characters special powers, or athority within a legion or group. These could happen at the end of a match, or even within the match with different ending effects. In-fight it would just take a chunk of your life. End of match, it would kill you in the most vicious of ways...ideas are endless.

10. Story and Gameplay They're always in question, and I'm not the technical guy, so I won't go there except to say: I know know to expect to get something astoundingly fresh, effective, and worthy of a next gen Mk and fighting game in general...

------------------

Stuff like mini games and or character specific conquest modes can be down-loadable. While full out conquest games should be just that, it's own game. None of this material needs to be put on the disc anymore...there's just to much potential for inter-activity elsewhere with these new systems...
New costume material, further KaK upgrades and so on are apart of this as well.....

I think I forgot something...

The coffin crap was dumb. If they had the same koin as the overall payment that wouldnt be dumb. It's like you have 1000 red koins and u go2 to coffin z-12. cost-1000 red koins. unlocks-500 red koins. It was a dumb guessing game with little payoff.

Now the rest of the u said i would really want back. Especialy the video endings. I think since the mk4 endings were so terrible they've been hesitant about doing them again.

I'm with you on most of it except for the number of characters. Too many characters can spoil everything.
