Kitana's costumes in MKX are asian-inspired but she herself does not look Asian. She only looks Asian in MK Legacy for whatever reason but that's it. In my opinion Kitana facially should look like Talisa Soto, that was the best she has ever looked (in MK Gold her face is similiar to Soto). So I'd say white latina is what would suit her best if she were from Earthrealm.
I also liked that chick who played Kitana in MK for PS Vita commercial.

She definitely seems very "Princess Jasmine" inspired lately, so yeah, perhaps Persian or something of the sort.

Of course, if Kitana was from Earth Realm, she would've died, like, 9950 years ago, lol. Give or take.

Going with Arabian. Jade, Tanya, and Rain both give off a similar vibe. I can't tell with Sindel.

At first I thought she was Asian because of the clothes but her and Li Mei have different facial traits that make them look like different races. Since Li Mei is Asian, I figured Kitana would be a different race if she was an Earthrealmer.

It depends on the game and the artist, honestly. There's concept art in the Krypt in MKX where Kitana and Mileena look 100% Asian, and other concept art where they look white. In-game they definitely look white. In MK9 I thought Kitana had kind of an Asian look.

Talisa Soto in the movies (and MK Gold's face render) is Latina. I think 3D era Kitana was also sort of vaguely patterned after Talisa Soto.

It seems like the Edenians are generally 'exotic' without really anything deeper than that. Sindel has always been portrayed as pretty white. Jade varies from game to game between tan white person, black woman (3D era), and sort of South Asian-looking in MK9. Rain usually is styled in more Asian type outfits, but we've never seen his face uncovered IIRC. Tanya had black features in MK4 and 3D era, but in MKX Story Mode she's just vaguely something-or-other, her skin tone and features change from cutscene to cutscene, and we'll see what she ultimately looks like as DLC.

In the two most recent games, I'd go with middle eastern (Persian, Arabian, etc...). Some one said she has a Princess Jasmine look to her and I agree with that comparison.

I say Latin. In her Mortal Kombat: Gold face render, she had the face of Jennifer Lopez a little bit lol

In MK9 you could probably convince me she is white/Asian, but in MKX she just looks white to me.

Edenians are a mix of a lot of different things. Just like people from Earth. Doesn't really matter.

So, it sounds like most of you are saying either Arabian or Latin. Was I right then? Can I tell my buddy he was wrong? She has Asian themed weapons as well though so maybe they did intend for her to look more Asian but they're just bad at designing faces, which we all know to kinda be true lol.
