No, giving him completely different abilities doesn't make him more interesting. The abilities that he has were fine, they weren't anything special, but they shouldn't give him a different element to wield because Tremor is most likely not a candidate to debut in X.

I'm all for Daegon making a return. But like someone said before: there is no Red Dragon faction, so yeah... maybe Kano and his thugs destroy the RD clan in the comics (including Daegon and Mavado).

Daegon and Taven make me think of Romulus & Remus.

Daegan was in MK9 story mode, and is mentioned in the comics, my bet he will be in MKX Taven won't be in an MK for a long time

You know I wouldn't mind that the heroes awaken Taven to fight a rogue Protector God Liu Kang since the former is already a half-god if that scenario would occur. Hands down for Taven in his Edenian Protector God role with superior mystical abilities than Liu Kang, physical strength, greater armor defense, and greater kombat experience (guy lived more than 10,000 years).

Can this faction thing really determine who's going to return and who won't? From my understanding, it's just some online thing, and the factions you can choose from are just the better known ones. The Red Dragon is probably not that well known among casuals, which explains why it's not there.

Daegon and Taven are like Cyrax and Sektor. If Taven/Sektor is in the game, there's a good chance Daegon/Cyrax are in the game as well. But if Daegon/Cyrax are in a game, there's maybe a 50/50 chance of Taven/Sektor being in the game. Basicly, Daegon can be in the game without Taven but that doesn't work vise-viersa.

Tavern is still in stasis waiting to be awoken. So no Deagon could be there without Tavern and already is, since he awoke early to create the Red Dragon and his name is in the comic be ause that's keeping the history as it was since nothings changed in till the start of MK1.
