I don't care if Boon has said this is a new Sub-Zero. I don't care what happened in MK9. Shit is apparently changed in MKX and I think that Boon would flatout lie to keep secrets for this game (If I was a developer I would. It's part of the fun). Plus, I still say those eyes on Sub-Zero are undead. Look up Human Sub-Zero 4-ever and see his signature. Those eyes are dead as hell just like Scorpion's They are not blue like a cryomancer. It's Bi-han or Kuai Liang. A new Sub-Zero may appear, but I don't think it will be without seeing one of those return first.

With that out of the way Scorpion and Sub-Zero both have a common enemy in Noob Saibot. Not to mention if Noob Saibot helps beat Shinnok's ass and takes the throne of the netherealm who is to say he won't try the same shit that Shinnok is trying?

Plus Boon and Tobias are the original creators. Why not pay homage to that with making Noob Saibot the boss for the tenth game in the series?

Noob Saibot as the main boss would be the definition of underwhelming, especially considering he's never really evolved beyond a palette swap and hasn't played a big role in the series as a whole. (IMO, of course.)
Plus, he barely did anything in the story mode before getting his ass owned by Nightwolf. Not good for his resume.

Scar_Subby's argument sounds pretty darn legit to me. I can see that happening for sure. If it were true though, I'd have these mixed feelings of excitement and disappointment. Excited because of the potential threat that Noob could be as a boss and Disappointed because as a boss Noob would be Non-playable.

To add to your theory though, maybe his "boss status" results from being swallowed by a Soulnado. If you already said that, my bad.

I can see how you would have reached that conclusion, but I don't think it is going to be Onaga. I think it's possible that Onaga returns, but I feel his return would be planned by Shinnok. Then he underestimates the Dragon King and fucks shit up leading to a war that kills a lot of people, and leaves a power vaccum for the actual big bad to step out of the shadows and reveal them self.

As to who the big bad is, Idk what if its Super Saiyan Sindel again? I for one would be disappointed.

Dem eyes man. They are dead as dead gets. Look at them and then look at Scorps eyes. They are very similar. Hell, I don't want it to be Bi-Han, but he had the same undead eyes in MK9.

So Noob is out in my opinion since he is just a villain.

For a moment I thought it was going to be Liu Kang seeking revenge but he has never been a villain.

So in my opinion I do agree that it could be Kotal Kanh as a puppet to Onaga, like reptile was the reincarnation of Onaga back in Deception.

I don't believe Shinnok will be the main villain because arcading to Boon it will be a "Surprise Returning Boss" and Shinnok is already expected because of MK9's ending.

in the other hand it could be Shang Tsu or Shao Kahn which in my opinion would suck but it is possible.

I hope they don't spoon feed me Liu Kang. Think I'd rather have Noob.

The fanboy in me wants to believe the death of/dead pooled Motaro was a ploy.

My first guess was also Onaga, so if that's the case then we'll probably see a few more MKDA/MKD characters than expected.

I've also been thinking about who the Big Bad would be and I came to the conclusion that It would for sure be Onaga. No matter what events unfold after the MK9 events, Onaga is still scheduled to come back unless of course Raiden stops his return early.

Another logical Boss would be Liu Kang. He is angry, and could possible be plotting against raiden.

I'm all for Onaga. Now's the chance to do him right.

As much as I had my hopes on Raiden, I'm going to say Sheeva.

For all the badmouthing that she's been receiving and how she's not that well liked. She'll be incredibly cheap, cheaper than Kahn, too unpredictable, very powerful. Her specials will do 90% damage. She'll be way too fast, and you cannot block anything from her. Also, immuned to projectiles.

It'll take the best of the best to defeat her. All getting her goddamn revenge on being the punching bag. It was building up to this. This moment where she is declared to be the best boss ever in history of Mortal Kombat.

I'm still saying it's Quan Chi.

Boon said it will be a "fun" returning character, not a returning villain.

The only fun characters in that list are Shujinko, Shang Tsung and I guess, Liu Kang.

And then there is Shinnok! I hope he'll be playable as well as the main boss.

My money's on Liu Kang.

Obvious? Yes. Unoriginal? Perhaps.

But it's a trope that gets played with a lot in just about every form of media, and I can easily see NRS putting a fallen hero as the big bad.

I don't know who it will be, but I do know who it won't be. It won't be Onaga, it won't be Noob and it won't be Sheeva (sorry )

As mentioned before, Ed Boon stated that the end boss wouldn't be someone we suspect it to be.

So those you guys have already mentioned, they are most likely ruled out.

Well, people can mention every single MK character there is... but even if they mention them doesn't necessarily mean they actually believe it will be them. For example, if someone says Mokap, would he really think it would be Mokap?
