I think Havik is the final boss.

After Raiden's statements in the latest comic, i think it has to be Havik. He was talking about Chaos and stuff. It would make sense too. All the chaotic stuff happening- Earthrealm Warriors dying, Shao Kahn defeated, Netherrealm War, Black Dragon vs Red Dragon, and The Ouworld Civil War. God, Havik must be so fueled with chaos. Thats why he would be the final boss, he is so powerful do to all the chaos.

Possible but I need more evidence.

The fact that the comic takes place during the game's timeline but not after makes me skeptical, they have different story arcs. The Kamidogu business seems be comic specific, because we haven't seen anything hinting at them in game so maybe the person causing all the chaos in the comic is the "Boss of the comic story" but not the game.

If he is though, I wonder how they'll make him boss worthy. While he's an awesome character overall, some of his moves were pretty shitty and he's not very intimidating.
I was thinking perhaps the reason for an evil liu kang boss is because Havik is influencing him

that's definitely not a bad theory.

But how is Havik related to the Komidogus is my question.

And whether I'd want Havik as the boss depends on if he is playable or not.

taking the leak list into account, I'd rather have a playable Shinnok boss than an unplayable Havik boss

We also get the sense that a demon is possessing people. Has Havik ever been known as a demon?

We barely know Havik at all, beyond his afinity for chaos and his amazing tolerance (if not love) for pain. Not to mention, as was made clear with Mileena in MK9, this new timeline is also used to retcon stuff, so even if Havik wasn't a body-swapping demon in the old timeline (which we don't actually know for sure), he might be one now.

As for Havik as the final boss, I'm open to the idea. It's not a farfetched theory at all.

There needs to be a drive behind Havik if he's to be the final boss thought. Didn't the demon who took over Fox say the Kamidogus had something to do with Quan Chi?

Quan Chi obviously survives the Netherrealm War, so maybe he went to the Chaosrealm to gather new allies.

In the factions trailer on of the producer said something about the ChaosRealm ( Invading during factions ?.).
Anyway I would love Havik as the final boss. But I think Lui-Kang is.

I think I remember someone theorising once that Erron Black was someone in disguise, and I've a completely baseless hunch that he's actually Havik.

I think it might be the fact that his face mask covers the exact area where Havik has the skull-facey bit. Eh, just a theory.

There have been hints. What is the most telling is when they mentioned Havik duribg the stream, unlike Sheeva, they said: "maybe, maybe not..". So now he's been hinted during a stream, factions trailer and the comics. Makes more sense than Liu Kang actually and Havik is definitely a surprise! To a certain level Liu Kang, Shinnok & Quan Chi would not be very surprising due to MK9 endings.

Also, it's very weird that the NEXT trailer would mention the Chaosrealm since there was nothing about it in MK9 and nothing about it in anything MKX so far, except Raiden talking about chaos coming to earthrealm.

There could be more to this.

That would be a fun surprising returning character. it's probably not him for those reasons lol. I think he's in the game, final boss tho? I'd be ok with that.

Eh, I'm hesitant about him being the final boss for two reasons. One being I really don't want them mucking up anything about his character as I really liked him in Deception. Two being that I really REALLY hope they don't Blaze him by beefing him up into a giant monster just so he's threatening.

But havik is a 3D era character not named quan chi or kenshi. That automatically disqualifies him from this game.

Following this games' trend the final boss will be a tag team with his son and daughter, Haviky and Havik Jr.

Where's Chrome when you need him?

Although I'm sure he's tired of continuously stating why that demon can't be Havik. So, *controlling* another being would go against everything that Havik is, and believes in.

BUT....we've been blown away by retcons and loop holed writing before so I guess it's a possibility. Even if it's a minimal one.

As for the idea of being a boss, and correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't there a mention or rumor prior to the last stream that we'd get a hint on who the boss would be? Not sure if that was a fan rumor, or something stated by the devs.

If it's the latter, then didn't they drop his name in that last stream?

All this demon talk is just assumptions, NRS can do whatever they want with the amulet, the gods, the influence of The One, the daggers etc. We're all guessing anyway so for some1 to say, Havik or whoever cannot be it, bull.

Even if he is the final boss or even sub boss he will more than likely be playable because they said that the bosses and sub bosses in this game will be playable. They do not want to make the same mistakes as MK9 by not letting people play as the bosses.

Cassie fighting sindel and kitana cant be during the Shinnok War because she was either not even born or a just a baby. So cassie fighting Sindel in the trailer throws me off at predicting Havik or even Reiko will be the big bad unless Quan Chi is working with Havik, and Reiko hates Quan Chi for some reason (in the orginal timeline , could change)
