first of all my first new idea is that Shang Tsung should be there , and be a suboss. He has the ability to have lui kang take his place in the battle while he recovers his life for a short while.

well i guess i have a few more. ok..... how bout this one bring striker back and have him be evil. He soul was contorted by Shang Tsung when he was captured in his first tournament.

Stryker was never captured in any tournament. Nor would he been chosen to represent Earth in any case. ... until MK3.

Damn it! well give me a break im only a kid! um..... how about this one.

While searching in the Wastelands, Ermac find the decrepit body of Motaro. And brings him back to life..... on the side of good. So Motaro is fighting against Shao Kahn and eventually Rips Shao Kahn to Shreads.

Age = nothing when mentioning ideas. Since you're so young, your imagination should be a whole lot better than ours in terms of ideas. The thing is, your ideas are focusing on taking dead characters and having them be revived and/or used to fight for the other side. You have a very basic outline for your ideas, and they aren't hot, nor new. You have to think bigger, and make your ideas a little more believable.

Or.....
Frost Return and teams with Li Mei on the Dragon Kings side adding on to Li Mei's ending on MKD. Or we could say Li mei though frost showed promise in the MKDA tournament and in the middle of taking over the Lin Kuei with Onaga, she discovered in Subzero's "office" Frost's frozen body and un freezes her and decides to have her join the Unstoppable aliance. grin

well damn thats a kick forward. That makes me think a new character.... a boss.

Name: Shintari
Origin: Hell
Alignment: Evil
Aliies: Scorpion
Enimies: Anything that stands for good.

Scorpion, searching through the netherealm for Quan chi Bumps into a wandering Spectre. That Spectre was Shintari his brother. Shintari was in the backround of evry tournament waiting and watching. And soon after Scorpion's victory over Onaga he decides it's the right time. Over the past few years he's training to be stronger than any of the other Kombatants, and reached his goal. He transfered all of his pain into of an urn and threw it into Hell's lake. In the process making him impervious to all harm.When scorpion figured out it was his brother they immeadeatly formed a new aliance. The second..... Deadly Alliance.

Having kombatants who are related join up after years of being apart and becoming an evil alliance is too cliché... Don't you find it the least-bit cheesy? Also, what's the significance of throwing his pain into a lake in Hell? What did that acomplish?

and what purpose would that serve?

here's a possible basis: let's take the character, umm. Smoke.

analysis: Smoke has been forced to become and remain forever a metallic entity comprised of Smoke. A nanotech cyborg, and he is not happy about it. Teamed up with NS and tainted to a deree.

Presupposition: evil is within him, and he serves as a cyborg NS.

Conclusion: going out from this Smoke can fight his programming to
regain his sense (if more complex, than Smoke is not a good
character, he is an assassin, who is willing to kill on order.).

Reevaluation: that is cliche. See RoboCop, Cyrax, Deathlock and so on..

Closure: Smoke would not be a good idea as a good character.

Retrying: Smoke should be neither bad or neutral. Coming to close the
cycle. Smoke should remain with NS for the time of being. Logi-
cally beginning, Smoke fights his priogramming but is not good.

Dramatic essence (only after the idea is working): have Smoke turn aga-
inst Noob Saibot. Smoke has his own agenda now,
one that is not reliant on Sub-Zero or Noob Saibot.

Comparison: Sub-Zero has already several possible scenarios. Smoke plays an important role in the former Lin Kuei's life, and in Sub-Zero's too.

Effective closure: increase the importance at all cost to remain relevant to the character, and NOT to the central plotline at this point. Have Smoke be Noob Saibots killer when NS battles Sub-Zero. Wether or not Smoke sho-uld kill Sub-Zero is up to you - this is a possible scenario.


Advice: avoid the "fantasy-naming-trap". names carry meaning, so "Shikari, Zubin, Xallor and Haobshinror...any other one excessively using sonor-rants" will always be subpar. Names have an actual form, each resemb-ling each other becouse of grammatical and semantic context. japanese names are a good example. All of them are similar and follow one trait:

Kintaro, Goro, Motaru, Rokuro, Hyakushinko, Kensaburo, Miyato
-ato, -aro, -oro endings make theese snames actually believable. And the rythmic part of affixes also helps. Therefore Hshakurgaro would be a bad choice because of Hsh... what is alien for japanese.

also, a few tips I'd like to toss you. Be sure to know the characters that you are talking about. For example, you said that Shang Tsung had influence over Stryker's soul since he captured him in MK 1. K, lets examine this. Stryker was not in MK 1. Shang Tsung and he have never before interacted, so you would need to explain the sudden connection. If Shang Tsung had captured Stryker, why had he kept him hidden this whole time? Finally, Shang Tsung has never had "influence" over controlling people's souls, only stealing them.

Plus, wanting a character to return, and asking that he change sides is not really a "hot" idea... really, it is nothing more than a single line in a wish list. A hot new idea is something: A. Hot (meaning it grabs peoples attention) and B: New. Wanting a character to return is not new.

A hot new idea would be something like... I dunno... scorpion and Sub-zero getting married. I bet no one has seriously thought about doing that, and I know it would get peoples attention. Of course, it is a rediculous idea, and no one (... i hope) would like it. The concept of the Kamidogus and Shujinko's quest is probably a better idea. No one saw it coming, and the introduction of the new realms brought about many new options storyline wise, and character wise.

Good luck thinking of ideas, but try and be a bit more indepth with them, as well as try thinking on a larger, more interactive scale.

hmm..... what about this.

Subzero disover Scorpion destroing Quan Chi in the netherealm and over hears their conversation. "Quan chi you have annyoed me for the last time. now my soul can rest in peace knowung that i can finish off Subzero's brother's killer." And just before Scorpion struck the final blow Subzero jumped in and froze Quan chi with his most powerful blast."Scorpion after all of these years how come you never informed me that Quan chi was my brother's killer?""You never asked."grin Then Subzero combined their powers and destroyed Quan chi once and for all. Thus forming..... The second deadly alliance.

Quan Chi didn't kill Sub-Zero... Scorpion did. And the reason that Scorpion killed him was because he killed Scorpion first, and Scorpion also thought that he killed his family, which he found out later was actually Quan Chi. That is why he is hunting him down.

Nice way to go more indepth and explain it a little better though. Keep trying... if you want to.
