@Obreck

C: Bi Han is fully purified back to his mortal form (Elder Sub-Zero). I think this option would be the best option in terms of a storyline. Somehow Noob gets trapped into a soulnado and gets purified into Bi-Han or Sub-Zero with enhanced of powers and strength giving him a platform for a enhanced moveset with old and new moves alike. Kuai Liang could retire from the tournament and report back to the Lin Kuei of Bi-Han's discovery while Bi-Han could have a motivation of vengenace similar to Scorpion from being trapped in Noob Saibot's body. This could give birth the alliance of Scorpion and Sub-Zero or "Fire and Ice" as the next theme for the video game with the most popular characters as the front men of the next theme.

Noob Saibot's old alias can transform from the sheer force of being trapped inside of the soulnado and give rise to the alias "Nightshade" with enhanced powers and present a platform for an enhanced moveset with old and new moves alike. He maybe after the transformation can align himself with the Lin Kuei since in the past he has shown alliances with Smoke or switch a become a Shirai Ryu member. Either way I think it would be a good touch to add the soulnado aspect of the storyline to the characters providing a vehicle to enhance their powers and movesets.

Hm...dunno what can be done with Kuai Liang. Even if he's brought back to life, wouldn't he still be a cyborg? (I'm pretty sure most of his organic parts are gone, but since MK has a lot of magic in it, that can probably solve it and make him fully human again. And by extension they can do that to some other Lin Kuei. Maybe causing some kinda Lin Kuei civil war between humans and cyborgs. I honestly think that would be kinda cool.)

As for Bi-Han, they could do something like his Armageddon ending. In that, he has some inner struggle and he ends up becoming something that's neither Noob nor Sub-Zero. I actually think that would be cool. He becomes some kinda Noob-Zero/Sub-Saibot, and his new power helps him survive the Soulnado.

I'd like to keep Cyber Sub-Zero, but do restore his humanity; á la Cyrax in the Old Storyline.

Noob Saibot with Shadow / Ice powers and in league with Chaosrealm I'm totally fine with.

As a human 'Sub-Zero' Frost comes to mind. Have her use the human-moves.

And I don't mind Sareena helping Bi Han or Kuai Liang, help the former take over Netherrealm or the latter to restore his humanity.
If you wanna know how we the original generation feel.

Watch ProudNintendoFan Video Review. He clearly points out all the flaws in the characters and the stories.

I enjoyed the game for the gameplay and the graphics... but failed epicly on story.

I'm hopeing that the reboot was just a dream a character was having... a dream would make more sense on why the story was off on the facts.

I don't want another time travel story
