Here Is Something To Talk About
Here Is Something To Talk About
We will learn more of the games story in January/February.
- There will be no 'day' or 'night' version of stages in MKX, but some stages will feature a 'dynamic weather system' that will change as the match progresses.
- The character select screen is not final, the final roster count depends on how much they can 'jam in' before release.
- Shaun placed further emphasis on Quan Chi's resurrection abilities in the past and stated again that MKX will have 'revenants' of some of those who fell in MK9.
- Every stage will have some form of environmental interaction.
- The game is to be submitted next month for the final stage of development.
- A lot of characters are 'finished' back at NetherRealm Studios.
- When asked about unlockable characters, Shaun stated he couldn't answer that question.
- There will not be 'Babalities' in Mortal Kombat X as they do not fit this new style of Mortal Kombat.
- It is very probable that we will see Fatalities in the story mode.
- There will be some form of 'King Of The Hill' in online play.
- Goro is Shaun's favourite character in the game at this point, he will get a reveal trailer eventually.
Although Darkhound posted first, I changed the first post instead of having the Game Informer article. And since BruskPoet is being a baby about it, he gathered this info.

There's actually already a thread about this, if I'm not mistaken.

I would happy with just a Goro teaser trailer, not even a full on reveal, just like a tiny montage of short little gameplay vids that cut away and stuff, build the hype!
Oh and Ermac. Give me just an Ermac RENDER and my power pole will extend

What kind of flopasss ridiculousitality... that would go to show that nobody in the MK team can say what the final roster is, yet... with absolute100% certainty....
I remain nervous for my favorite karakter TANYA.
Oh my gosh, if they decide to put TANYA's polygons and renders in the recycle bin and press delete, for whatever reason. LMAO...
Ed Boon, put Tanya in MKX.

Quan Chi vs Sub Zero dialogue
"Your brother is enough to be my slave?"
I thought it sounded something like that.
"I am not my brother." Hmmm the verdict is still open for either Bi-Han or Kuai Liang at this point.
If it's Bi-Han, what a dick.

Verrrryyyyy interesting.
'Jamming in' as many characters as they can.. WOW
That is extremely comforting. Of course the game is being sent in for finalizing so they have already "jammed-in" all the characters they could.
It is good to hear that a developer did not limit themselves to a fixed quota.

It's definitely Bi-Han, this Sub-Zero doesn't sound anything like a good guy.

Gimme GORO! A full variation trailer is totally needed! If not, I guess clips would fine.

Good news, but one question.
If a lot of the characters are 'finished', why the slow reveals?

I'm assuming they're trying to get as much stuff done before next month. Next month is when the game reaches the final stages of development.
So it's crunch time.

Yeah true, oh except the official Mk tumblr revealed Sub-Zero's theme music for MKX and it was titled Arctic hero or something like that hmmm... Nah, not a good guy at all.
