I thought Smoke fans caused cancer?

A lot of hardcore Sub and Scorp fans called the hairs on Smoke gay when it was announced.

That's why.

Last time I checked, they were not "hardcore" Sub-Zero and Scoprion fans, they were actually fans of Smoke. Fans that YOU hated so much, even going out of your way in nitpicking at them in every single Smoke thread there was UNTIL they released a picture of the character. You suddenly did a 180 and liked him all because so many Smoke fans were bent out of shape for the design of his hair.

The only reason I'm getting a little aggravated with this is because I am a hardcore Sub-Zero fan, and I hate it when people start antagonizing a group of people for liking something. Knock it off, would you?

I wouldn't call long hair gay, but the way Smoke wears it is certainly a style that's NORMALLY female-only.

Lots of dudes in MK have long hair and look fine.

Smoke has bangs sweeping sideways across his face. It's almost the "emo" style, but it doesn't cover his eyes, and the back isn't the same length, so instead it's just a typical women's hairstyle.

Well I probably read more Facebook-pages and other forums than you, mostly the scorp and sub-fans (They must be with a Scorp or Sub avatar) think Smoke looks gay with hair and they want the scorpion-clone smoke or the cyborg-smoke(also with scorpions abilities) back.

Yes I hated smoke before, but only because most of his fans wanted a Smoke with Scorpions abilities or a cyborg. I would NEVER have thought that they actually did something interesting of that level with Smoke.

I've never seen people on this forum, and other forums I go on (you're not the only one who reads up on other stuff) hoping that they give him back his very first move set that he had in the second game. I don't know what you're reading, certainly nothing from here, but I have never seen anyone state, "Oh man, Mortal Kombat 2's Smoke was the bomb! I wish he went back like that!" If anything, maybe the appearance, but never the moves.

In fact, a lot of people actually liked his whole character in 2011 because he's like what, the second most played character? So if anything, I'd say they'd rather see that entire moveset make a return rather than his copycat moves from his debut.

And what's wrong with wanting him to be a cyborg again? Many people remember Smoke as a cyborg more than him being human, there is nothing wrong in his fans asking for Netherrealm Studios to make him a cyborg again.

Of course there is nothing wrong with that.

But I would have hated Smoke as Cyborg in MK9, he turned into a cool long haired god of smoke abilities and that's why I twisted my opinion about him 100% and started to love the character.

I would probably dislike him again when he's turned into a cyborg, especially now I know he's an freaking awesome Japanese yokai/demon called the Enenra, and I want Sektor to be the only cyborg in the series.

I don't know which sites you've been reading but I've NEVER seen a Scorp/Sub/Smoke/Whoever fan ask for his MK2 moveset/look back

Hmmm let's see. 1) I actually LOVED the scene in mk9 where queen sindel destroys all the heroes 2) I think that kitana and Jade have the best outfits in mk9 3) I get bashed or hated for using random select online (I always do it to give the matches variety. 4) My favorite characters are Mileena and Baraka 5) I actually LIKE Mk vs dc universe 6) Sheeva has one of the best bio in mk3 and deserves to be respected 7) I like quan chi's neck thing fatality 8) I enjoyed puzzle kombat a lot back in ps2 days 9) I actually like both Mk movies especially the actress that portrayed sindel 10) Scorpion sucks, hail sub-zero.

Lol, I'm sure a lot of Smoke fans don't like his hair either.

glad some people said it. i loved MK Deception, liked shujinko and most of all, the NoobSmoke duo.

Been a fan of the ninja characters since the 2D era and still a fan of them now. Scorpion and Sub-zero are at the bottom though.

Something about the mask just looks cool to me.

I know I'm years late but I find this topic interesting so here I go:

-I freakin hate Scorpion !
-I actually liked Li Mei and Bo' Rai Cho in MKD.
-MKD was my favorite MK game because of Konquest.
-Lastly something that I just wanted to say Sub-Zero all day PERIOD

I say that posters put the cast of the Trilogy on a pedestal over the cast of the games after MK3.

I honestly don't see what makes say, Hotaru, a worse character idea than Nightwolf or any of the cyborgs.

I'm guilty of wanting a MK collection for the next gen where it includes mk1 mk2 mk trilogy mk4 mkda mkD mkA mk9 with updated graphics of course. God that would be a dream come true right there. I'd be locked in my room playing that for days lol

I'm guilty of wanting to finish people that want Smoke and Noob Saibot back as Scorpion Clones complete with his abilities.

If such vermin exist, I want them to be finished.

I'm so glad a lot of the people from the previous Mortal Kombat are dead. Glad to get to see new fresh faces to the series also finally glad we go forward in the story rather than living in an infinite circle. Not that I harbor any grudge I just think it will be good to have a new slate with new characters.

D'vorah is my least favorite new character thus far.

Human Reptile is my favorite version of Reptile.

Anamalities were enjoyable and I do hope they're present in MKX.

Darrius, Kobra, Jarek, Dairou, and Li Mei are my least coveted characters.

Armageddon is my least favorite MK game. Ever.

Guilty of loving Shujinko and Frost. Hope they return. My being a fan of Havik and Hotaru doesn't seem like I should feel guilt. I am hoping for them, too.

I love Raiden's MKD suicide fatality.

I prefer Reptile as a palette swap. I think all of his half-human half-lizard looks are stupid as hell, especially MK 4. I like the Deadly Alliance look, because, to me, that was him totally out of costume. One of the best parts of Deception was seeing Reptile back in his palette swap form.
