Any of the characters that either died or survived MK9 would be my guess.

I've said from the beginning that the DLC characters for this game will probably be all returning characters that "didn't make it in", so that NRS could get easy cash for their nostalgia value.

At first I thought it would just be the dead characters. But now that Goro, one of the characters that survived MK9, is a DLC character.....what's to stop Reptile, Ermac, Mileena, Sektor, and the other characters that survived MK9 from becoming DLC? Hmmm.....

Well this is WB so I'm expecting a whole load a bull shit in terms of DLC like 14 costumes per character 15 dollar story mode chapters ect.

Let's wait! We don't even know the rest of the returning yet, except for Johnny Cage, whom is confirmed.
Yes, there has been mention of Sonya, but, she hasn't been legitimately confirmed. Same can be said for Liu Kang.

Now, nothing has been mentioned about Shang Tsung. Will he be returning at all?, is the question. I would be really disappointed if he was to return as the main boss. Two reason's being is that I would like for him to be playable and have an awesome Soul Steal Fatality. For me, the one and only Soul Steal that I liked was his one from MK2.
NRS has to redeem Shang from his horrible MK 2011 fatalities. I liked everything else about Shang in MK 2011. Well...except when he vanished into thin air when Shao Kahn drained his power. That was a (wtf?) moment.

So ya, wait for the main roster to be finalized (to us) first, before guessing which characters can be possible for DLC.

So hard to stand firm on my guesses though. There's still so many possibilities, it's overwhelming.

I have a feeling that most of the DLC characters in this game will people who appear in story mode but whom are not playable. I think Goro will fit into this category. Another person who is due for a story mode appearance but might not be playable initially is Sektor because he became the Grandmaster of the Lin Kuei.

Why r ppl.assuming that goro is gonna b dlc? Lol Anyways,anything less than 8 DLC kharacters is a joke with so many new ones. They have a great opportunity to not only expand the game but to cash in on adding all our favorites especiallynow they r on 5 systems

We're not. He IS DLC. He will be available as a DLC character at launch if you pre-order the game. He isn't part of the initial roster as a playable character.

I just hope it's comprised of the dead characters I don't care about (Jade, Smoke, Cyber-Sub, Kitana, Stryker... Holy shit, pretty much everyone). That way, people who like them could purchase them, and I don't have to. ^_^

I get that but I dont consider it DLC,its just a code to.unlock him in the game. He's already on the disk. To me DLC is the stuff u download after the game's been out a lil bit not on launch day.

.I'd want to say the DLC guest will be the Predator or Spawn. But then again, the guest may already be included in game alongside the console exclusives.

Is pretty obvious that Goro will be released as a DLC after 1 or 2 months, same happened with MK 2011 with the Reptile/Subby/ Scorpion Klassic outfits and Fatalities.

About Shang Tsung... No, I don't think he will be playable.. perhaps DLC, I think this time Shinnok might be a kind of Shang Tsung, he will be fought just before the Sub Boss and stronger than his playable version.

About the MK4-MKA kharacters as DLC.. I would rather have them in the game already ! Pretty sure AT LEAST Quan Chi, Shinnok and Tanya are in! ( hopefully, Fujin!) The ones who are not, Boon could do a poll about which MK4-MKA kharacters we would like as DLC and shall vote.

I'm pretty much in agreement that it will likely be returning characters from MK9 along with the guest. Hopefully, they can be bought separately, not a fan of guests.

I've been thinking about it later.. we should relax if a kharacter that we want very much is not in the game, because he will be as DLC after... So it doesn't matter, even if they are not in history mode, they can be played.

I would guess 6 total, 2 returning from MK 2011, 2 left out MK4-MKA, and 2 Guest.

But I want them to go beyond characters this time around.

Add more skins to every character, more stages, all with stage fatalities, more fatalities and whatever other alities they have planned for every character as well.

That would be nice, DLC characters with alternate costumes, an alternate costume pack and a stage pack.

I'll say we're getting four DLC packs since Ed said MKX will have more DLC then Injustice did so I think four characters, two stage and four costumes in all pack besides the last one which well be four characters and four arenas. (Four for PS4 and Four for Xbone)
