Eight minimum? I don't think there was a huge wait from MK Trilogy to MK Deception. It was like six at the most. And Noob Saibot had to wait a little less since he was in four.

I love all three of them, I'm just saying while it sucks they can't be in each game, not every game can be the same. But they'll be playable again in the sequel probably when they need to switch them in.

Actually, it WAS 8 years between Trilogy and Deception. Trilogy came out in '96 and Deception came out in '04.

With mk 4/gold in the middle . Noob was a secret character.
And out of mercy I wanna remind you that Noob was playable in mk:tournament edition back in 2003.

Wow it did not feel like it took that long. Well, they both made it into Armageddon and MK9. I think they won't be skipping a sequel though, since if MKX is any indication so far they'll introduce a smaller amount of new characters with mostly classic ones.

Besides we have Kitana/Mileena and five male ninjas in this one, they'll probably want to switch some of them out next time, which will probably be like four or so years I guess.

But there's always the old games, too. When I got MKX I'm still gonna play MK9, Deception, MKT, MKII, etc. Even a bit of Armageddon for party fun.

Damn. I was really thinking Noob would at least be dlc.

I mean I've considered skipping this game for the roster being mostly MK1-2 but that's not to mean that I'm upset at all, that's most of my favorite characters, MKX looks like a phenomenal game and I'm still interested in it, but if I was to skip the game purely because of the characters I like not making it in, I could just play the older games.

Guys... Noob is already aknowledged to be around in the game so at the very least a cameo is possible.

Remember all that discussions with the "I have your brother's soul" dialogue? That some people though it was refering to Noob and Quan Chi talking to Kuai Liang and others though he was talking to Bi-Han about revenant Kuai Liang?

Well, now we know that dialogue was about Quan Chi still having control over Noob Saibot, so the soulnado didn't destroy him and he still can return.

I still think he can return even if Ferra/Torr, Scorpion and Johnny all had "summon ally as projectile" attacks, he can really make it HIS thing and the others just trying to incorporate it to alternate playstyles.

9-Future: Not until the next all-inclusion game/Trilogy reboot which isn't for a very long time.

Be happy with the fact he was in lots of Mortal Kombats and play the waiting game with us Sheeva fans.

I'm surprised they'd make Goro playable and not Sheeva actually. I know Goro has been around since the first but Sheeva was made to be a more nimble/fun playable version. Guess the MK3 stigma doesn't help for some.

Next to Jade she's my favorite Female MK character and in my top 10 faves overall.

That girl just doesn't...get the love she deserves. If they aren't going to have Goro be the protagonist he turned into in MK4 and Deadly Alliance; then why not bring her in to be the noble Shokan who tries to do what's best for her people and form a bridge between them and earth or the none evil factions of Outworld.

I do wonder if they have to pay him a percent of what they make on MK stuff though since he played a large part in designing some of the classic characters.

I agree that Sheeva doesn't get enough love. I like her a lot. I have always dug her but I came to appreciate her more while playing MK2011. I love playing as her in that game.

Actually unlike 99% of MK fans I've ALWAYS liked Stryker. I thought it was cool back when I was a kid to see a fat guy in MK because I was a fat kid, and I didn't mind seeing a cop in the MK universe. Always found his backwards hat and blue & black outfit to be cool, as well as his bombs, police baton and especially his stun gun.

I would totally play MK Kops: Special Krimes Unit starring Stryker and (pre-burned) Kabal.

I played 1, 2, and Trilogy back to back so I didn't have time to take them one at a time and dislike the 3 characters like some people.

I'd actually want a Stryker game to be set after MKX/Armageddon/later in the timeline so that Stryker would be a semi known cop just going about doing routine shit and then when die-hard stuff breaks out he just keeps saying he's just "doing his job" to reporters. Maybe you get to whoop on some Outworld invader asses and handcuff Goro/Kintaro and put them in your cruiser.

You know After Armaggedon I had this idea for a prequel game which took place after Deception that features Stryker and detailed what he had been up to leading up to Armageddon. My idea was he was going to be fighting along with Li Mei and the rest of the native Outworlders against the growing vicious Tarkatan’s. Get's killed by Baraka.

Then has his soul nabbed down to the Netherrealm by Shinnok himself and is sentenced to like the 7th plane of hell. Comes across the "Corpse" of Lucifer who then tells him how he came to be where he is and who he used to be blah blah take Hell from Shinnok and get back to the mortal planes of existence.

Anyway. I would have loved for Stryker to be one of the few Revenants restored and leading the charge to protect Earth from Outworld and the incoming battle with the Netherrealm while Sonya was off finding herself and taking the fight to Outworld.

We just need a string of Stryker adventure games like Shaolin Monks that are all canon in the new timeline and each just gets increasingly more ridiculous and has more and more reasons for why he keeps running low on ammo and has to scavenge for more while fighting hand to hand.

Maybe he salvages some tarkatan blades and outworld fireworks for makeshift guns.

Or just have him go full on Outworld Conan. Go full on Wasteland Barbarian on us Stryker!

I can see it now! He cuts his ties with Earth. Being bothered just waiting for Outworld to make another move On Earth. Feeling like the preventative measures the government is taking isn’t enough and being driven up the wall not knowing what Outworld is up to. He figures it would be better if he goes to Outworld himself and take the fight to their front door.

Have him makes armor and weapons out of the bones of Tarkatans and other creatures. You know, just Have Stryker go full on First Blood on Outworld.

Nah he's gotta stay a cop who's just doing his job. But he can arrest Kahn and Onaga and put them in Earthrealm jail cells after a portal opens up during a high speed chase and pulls him into Outworld.

It would be called Stryker: Krime Doesn't Pay.

I knew this Sub was Kuai Liang from the get go.
