You are partially correct with that. MK indeed was never about realistic fights with all the powers and jumping around. However they are taking a step forward in the realism department with the stamina meter in MKX. In previous games you could run/jump/use specials nonstop

That being said, this is MK. People in real life don't fight like MK fighters.
So, I'm okay with X-rays looking like they do...because MK isn't really about realism.

Unless you used cheat codes, you couldn't run nonstop in Ultimate/Mortal Kombat 3. Because even then, it had a Stamina Bar. Which also filled up during combos (which now has me worried. Dammit).

An option to skip fatalities online would be good as well. They are cool to see a few times but when opponents online CONSTANTLY perform them it gets tedious.

I know how you feel, but this could potentially have trophy/achievement implications, so I'd have to disagree.
But as for X-Rays, I really don't mind them. They're a cool little cinematic attack, and they give you one additional option to do damage if you need it (like knocking the last little bit out of an opponent's health), but that's it for me, anyway. I personally use meter on enhanced moves much more often.

Are you guys complaining about the realism of X-Ray's? Wow, these guys get hit with crushing moves even without X-Rays
The whole entire meter is basically like a super.
