Soneone in another thread had this interesting theory of Forrest Fox being possessed by Havik, and that Havik might be a bodiless entity who was inhabiting someone else's body in MKD. I thought that theory was worth it's own thread.

If I read this correctly, Forrest's face gets mutilated to resemble Havik's. So if there's truth to this theory, then what if Havik is in fact one of the Chaos realm's gods, maybe even it's own Raiden? Only, probably better at wreaking havoc than Raiden is at protecting Earth.

Yeah someone mentioned this to me on a thread on another site and I think its pretty interesting. Idk if I think its true or not, there is really no telling, but I do think its an interesting theory, that could be a good way to officially introduce Havik in the new timeline (I don't really count Noob's MK9 ending)

Me too.

And you know what? I think this could be the BEST theory as to who the main boss is, too. Boon said a "fun" and "surprising" return character. The surprising part was easy to understand but a lot have people have been scratching their heads at what Boon meant exactly by fun.

If any possible returning character(as boss) fits that word, fun, it would be Havik.

Forest Fox removes his own face wow

On another note, this would be interesting.

Oooooh fuck yeah! Super chaos demon Havik, empowered by the Kamidogu and possessing a Shirai Ryu? "The Hype Train will be departing from Boon station on April 14 2015 at 00:01...."

The Cleric of Chaos would make for a fun big bad. I'm not sure I see that happening though.

However I could see him possessing Fox. That would be pretty cool. But to what end? Havik has no stake in the Shirai Ryu or Scorpion. If it is Havik he must be working for someone else.

Havik is the "fun returning" character who's the big bad in MKX. That's what I've been saying! He's the only "fun" baddie among the suspects.

Evil Liu Kang and Dark Raiden - certainly not "fun". And fun is not the word that comes to mind when I think of Daegon.

There's, like, nothing about this demon that really makes me think of Havik. The whole "cutting off his face" thing isn't exactly something unique to the character, and I certainly doubt he did that because of any blood code.

I think you're right, the entity that possessed Forest Fox seems most likely Havik. From the cutting off his host's face and causing literally havoc at the Shirai Ryu it makes sense.

Spoilers: (Highlight to reveal)
Evidence supporting this theory also ties in with Raiden's warning to Scorpion to keep his eye out for a being from another realm. He never specified whether it was Outworld or the Netherealm so I'm assuming he's referring to Havik from the Chaos Realm.

Looking forward to the next issue.

Then throw on the Face of Kun-Lo, call him [Oni] Tormentor, and we have Drahmin.

Much better.

This is an absolutely awesome theory. I did not think of Havik having that kind of ability, but I don't really know much about the character. Having him be the protector of Chaos realm would be too cool. I really hope this turns out to be the case

Havik wouldnt follow a code, so can't be him, but i do think he will be in MKX, with all the hints boons dropping by capitalizing words, HAVE, HAVIN, Da-HAM

I, too, actually really like this theory as well! That is a great concept for Havik.

It also would actually be awesome and surprising if all along, with the promoted plotline of the netherrealm invasion and the outworld civil war that the final boss was actually the god of chaos from the chaosrealm.

It doesn't really make sense though. Havik believes in total chaos. If he was to be the big bad that would mean his end game would for there to be an end. And in doing so would restore order no matter which side of the moral compass triumphed. He's more the guy who just shifts pieces around during a conflict.

I like the idea but it doesn't sound like havik or onaga to me. Not without rewriting characters anyway. Like if havik just the spirit or whatever stuck in the chaos kamidogu and becomes whoever holds it. I'm rooting the character regardless, he would be gross with the new technology. If fox started dislodging his bones and shit that would be awesome lol.

He's agreeing with the user Onaga and not saying Fox is Onaga the character.

I agree. I'm still iffy about Havik even having a chance (as playable) in MKX. Netherrealm War? Outworld Civil War? The implication of several leaders and their "rise and fall"? And as if to make my point, there's so much going on, we're being led into the story of MKX through comics...

It's going to be chaos.

Which is just the way Havik likes it. What would he need to alter?

I'd love to see Havik in the game, but I won't be holding my breath.
