Here's a story idea for Scorpion I came up with while reading Ghost Rider, another tale of a burning skeletal dolt.

After Armageddon (or if you want to ignore it, Deception), Onaga is dead, and so is Quan Chi (If Armageddon, let's please have Scorpion kill him for the finality. If Deception, Quan Chi was blowed up real good). Scorpion has no true purpose, his vengeance has ended. The elder gods, who really only chose Scorpion for their champion because Scorpion was the closest person they could find, no longer need a champion, at least for the moment.

And so, Scorpion is returned to hell, sent there because of the sins he's committed in the past. Because, although he did fight on the good side in previous MKs, he was more or less doing it out of necessity or vengeance, not a desire to do good.

So now, Scorpion finally has to deal with the fact that he lived his life as an assassin, and that even while undead, he still kept killing. So he would seek to atone for his past, or at the very least, get out of Hell. This would allow whatever the writers choose to do, such as:
1) He actually tries to team up with the good guys. Most likely Sub-Zero, because of their past.
2) He gets manipulated into thinking he's doing good by a character who gets him out of Hell. For instance, let's just say Havik gets him out of hell to fight whomever the big boss of MK8 is. Havik isn't motivated by the greater good, only by entropy.
3) He manages to find a way out, but accidently brings something from Hell back with him. So his focus in the game woud be to fix his mistake and send whatever he brought back to Hell again.

millena was in mortal kombat before rain. They made a purple ninja because they got it from a song called purple rain.

Mileena first appeared in MKII.

Rain didn't show up until UMK3, and even then, he wasn't playable. Rain's first time as a playable character was MKT.
