Not so much ranking them but just commenting on them.


Scorpion - Obviously this one was just to maximize the gore and set the standard for the game so of course, it's Scorpion's. I like it. At the very least it's much better than his MK9 fatalities which sucked.

Sub-Zero - A little too copied from Scorpion what with the hole in the body, but it's definitely in tune with SZ.

Radien - Very meh. Raiden has never had an awesome fatality and it doesn't seem to be the case yet again.

Kano - FINALLY use his knife in a fatality. That was a long time coming. Love it, it's very him to gut someone alive. Nitpicking, but instead of just catching his victim as they fall, I wish he would violently grab them as he pulls them towards his laser eye.

Cassie - I get why some people like it, but I find it really bland and lazy. And the fact that she uses her gun in her X-Ray and I assume in battle just makes it worse. I know it's illogical to argue with illogical in MK but it still bugs me.

Ferra/Torr - Loved it the first time I saw it but now it just seems meh. I do like the team work though which obviously fits their character.

Kotal - Would probably be better if we haven't seen a million variations of this fatality. Fits his character though.

D'Vorah. Not as shocking as others, but it looks pretty cool.

Kung Lao - Love it but it's essentially his usual buzzsaw slicing though the groin, just the other way around.

Reptile - Assuming he breaks the skull open with his bare hands, that's pretty badass, yet a wee bit uninspired at the same time. I mean Reptile can use ACID on his victims, seems like that's just begging for really creative and gory fatalities. But they're usually safe.

Kitana - Other than the kiss of death, she's had pretty bad fatalities. This one is going in the right direction but it's still somewhat safe. Not a fan of the pointless hand chopping, but at least it's a first. (LOL I said "fan")

Ermac - By far the worst. I appreciate the creativity behind it but it just doesn't work. For starters, I HATE when they immediately kill the opponent and then just mangle their body. There was too much of that in MK9. Second, a head violently being shoved in someone's decapitated body like that would probably just cause the body to get destroyed altogether.

Favorite would probably be Ermac's

Least favorite is probably Cassie's

Forgot Quan Chi. I agree with most people, the first half is brutal, the rest of it is just uninspired.

I don't know why people are liking his portal fatality because it seems like a rip-off from Noob's Make a Wish, only lamer.

My favourite is Scorpion's fatality. It is true demonstration of the next level of detail they can get into the Fatalities. It is simply brutal. First time I saw it, I looked away. The face is the most recognisable and individual part of the characters. Getting the face sliced off like that is savage. This is one Fatality that I will have to try on every character.

My least favourite by far is Sub-Zero's. The first time I saw it I was absolutely underwhelmed coupled with the sense of deja-vu about it. Where have I seen this before? Oh, that is right MK4 with Kai. It is boring and anti-climatic. With the powers of the technology they have, in my opinion they should have made Sub-Zero freeze only the skin, so that it shatters like glass. Then the viscera falls out of the victim and the heart dangles down. Sub-Zero should grab the heart, freeze and the shatter it in his hand.

I find this whole fatality greatness! Chopping of the hands is cool, a lot better than always seeing amputated legs (at the knees) and arms (at the elbows or shoulders). I'm happy that they implemented that in. One of my faves in MKX thus far and her only fatality I like of hers since her debut in MK2. Can't wait to see her other one and hopefully it's shown in the upcoming stream a long with the one that was shown.

Disliked:

Scorpions - It's just so...scatter brained. they draw emphasis on the hole in the characters chest and their dangling heart as if Scorpion is about to snatch it out with his spear or something.
And then...he just cuts the guys face off....What? Why? Why didn't he just do that from the start then?

It just feels very unfocused and more like something a 12 year old would come up with.

It's like if we had Sonya pull out a gun and shoot out a guys knee caps. She starts walking towards him, gun still out, we think we know where this is going right? Next minute she holsters the gun picks the guy up with her legs and rips him in two. Just what?!

Favorite:

Quan Chi's - That is just such a twisted and morbid fatality.

Second fave would be Kitanas - It's simple but it's the eye roll at the end that gets me.

The only fatality I'm not digging is Sub-Zero's. It seems a bit lame compared to the others, even Ferra/Torr's. I know it's a generic slicing in half, but it was done in a creative way.

My favorite would probably have to be Kano's or Kitana's. So much gore.

I just hope that every character has at least three fatalities and that they DON'T show us second or third fatalities for the characters like they kind of did with Quan Chi. I want to find out when I have the game.

Having said that, there isn't a fatality I don't like but my top five are Scorpion's (simply badass), Kitana's (her best fatality ever), SZ's (simply evil), Quan Chi's (love the fact that he uses his magic), and Ermac's (ouch).

3: Reptile (I love what the acid does to the face)
2: D'vorgha (The bugs eating the face just looks so cool)
1: Scorpion (It's the most creative)

Worst

3: Kitana (The slicing of hands? Really?)
2: Ermac (It's basicly just a deceptiation)
1: Cassie Cage (Looks like a MK vs DC fatality)

Favorites-

Quan Chi- both.
Kitana- this one definitely shows off the mean streak she's picked up since mk9.
Sub Zero- sentimental reasons. Brings back memories of mk3.
Cassie Cage- how can you not like this fatality. Headshot with some of the Cage family bravado thrown in.

Least favorite-

Ferra/Torr- if only because I feel like they can do better.
