They seem more straight to the point. They don't drag shit out by being overdramatic. I like that. I mean I loved some of the Deception fatalities but sometimes they were way too long and almost tedious. Gladly this is the exact opposite. Swift and quick.

I'd still say that freezing a hole through a chest, break through the hole, break the spine with your bare hands, then lift the body up and split it in half is quite overdramatic. XD

Or like how D'Vorah just shoots bugs through a person's chest and back, and just goes completely left field and has her bugs eat the person's face. Like the whole first part is cool but wholly unnecessary.

Feeding your children is never unnecessary. ;P

Or like Cassie shooting someone in both knees and then the head , followed by the bubble gum.

Sub-Zero actually has one of the best Fatalities that I've seen in most recent MK games. And I don't think it's going over the top in terms of dragging it out.. if you think about it, in a world where magic/healing is possible, Sub-Zero simply making a hole in your chest may not be enough to ensure your opponent stays dead. The breaking of the spine is making sure you're not getting healed, and ripping you in half is making sure you stay dead. There is some logical sense into what he's doing.

I'm on the fence with D'Vorah's Fatality, I just think the animation on the bugs when they pierce your opponent's body isn't well done. Eating the face is alright.. reminds me of Reptile's MK4 Fatality. I just think it could have been done a little better (maybe a tornado-looking plague completely skins off your opponent).

I agree with a few users that has stated that the Fatalities seen so far are swift and straight to the point. That's how it should be.

That's like... The whole point of the fatality though. To kneecap them then humiliate them. D'Vorah shoots bugs at the body for no reason. Like what the hell does that have to do with having someone's face eaten? I could see if the bugs crawled out of the holes then crept up to the head to eat it. But they don't.

Maybe she has to make sure the opponent is dead so her children can feed without the opponent trying to swat them away.

Hahaha I was totally being sarcastic about her fatality.

But in all seriousness I feel like D'Vorah making an open wound then allowing the bugs to devour the loser from the inside out would make a little more sense.

I doubt the opponent would be able to gather enough strength to swat anything while they're in excruciating pain. By the time they raised their arm they wouldn't have a head.

The fatalities seemed good to me. I do hope to see what they can do with the other new characters with their fatalities. I am excited to see a new Mortal Kombat game being made.

They probably just have D'Vorah shoot bugs first because they thought the eating of the face was too plain. It's the same reason everyone in MK2011 tears someone's arm off regardless of what's going on.

Question. How does Sub-Zero manage to only freeze his opponent's torso area and break this big hole into it without shattering the spine as well? Are we to believe that with his incredible freezing abilities, he can focus on certain parts of the body that he wants frozen?

As for D'Vorah's fatality, if she did only have the bugs "cut to the chase, and eat the face" (see what I did there?) It would REALLY feel like Reptile's fatality from MK4, so it is perfect as is.

It does indeed seem like that, yes. Maybe he can focus the ice on flesh and avoid the bones. He's gifted. ^^
