The only thing that bugged me about Reptile's fatality was how cleanly Kitana's head was split down the middle. I mean he physically ripped her head into two...I just expected it to be a bit messier. Overall it doesn't bug me much.

Would've rather he smashed it to bits but they gotta show off those insides due to the new graphics engine.... *sigh* I have a feeling the majority of the fatalities are gonna be like that.

Same here, the cut ist too straigh, like they just reused Kung Lao's fatality cut for this one, I think it could be much better if it was a pulpy mess.

^ YEAH! Same here. that's really bugging me.
A bit true, but don't you guys think it's a lot harder than it sounds? Think about what it would mean if every single different character's head would need to be torn up in a different way. That would require a lot more than just some shreds of face.

If that's true, I'd suggest to NRS to not use really, really similar cuts in fatalities, then.

Oh believe me I get it and I'm sympathetic to how difficult it is to make a game. It is a valid critique though. You could have two types of cuts - the clean ones like what we've seen or the more uneven tearing. It's not a big deal but little details like that add much to the presentation.
Like I said though it's not a huge deal. I'm fine either way.

Couldn't disagree more.
Loving these fatalities. I thought Reptile's was absolutely brutal and disgusting, especially the way Kitana's face looked in the aftermath.

What I'm saying is, they would need to have the fatality vary for each character since every head is different when it tears. That's a lot harder to do + it's still very different from Kung Lao's and Ferra / Torr's split..
First off, the way it explodes, the way the head lays with the skin torn off and the neck blood gushing out. Stop nitpicking.

The fatalities are pretty great for the most part, especially how they're composed, but they are beginning to seem like variations of each other.
But I think it's also possible they are trying to keep things within a certain realm of similarity to keep a lot of stuff fresh when people get the game.

Hoping for some more power based fatalities, so far they have been pretty good in terms of the characters using their powers or unique weapons im just hoping they keep with it.

I think it would be cool if his tongue wrapped around the melting head and crushed it.

You are exaggerating at an extreme level. Ferra/Torr split the body vertically, and Quan Chi splits is horizontally...with portals. Also, they are the only ones that split in half so by "all those" you mean 2. There is honestly nothing to complain about here.

He's talking about Quan Chi's vertical lift and drop, which I personally feel is unique enough that it shouldn't apply. You can only dismember someone so many ways.

That honestly didn't even come to my brain. And that's the fatality we've actually seen fully.

In Quan's slice, there is something that does fall out to the ground (not sure what it is though). Then Ferra/Torr's, is just a slice in half.
The part that I like of the fatalities is, how they are preformed and not really what they look like in the aftermath. There is still gore, mind you.

i like the mortal kombat x fatalites so far because they're more raw, gritty, and realistic. straight to the point. but reptiles was probably the shittiest i've seen so far. the acid melting the face looks strange then like the others mentioned the perfect split of the head is too cartoonish.

P.S. how in the hell are you guys concentrated on the perfect cut when Kitana's melted eye wouldn't stop staring at you? Haha, good stuff!

lol, well I cant speak for everyone but to me it was jarring the second he ripped her head apart. How perfectly straight and cleaved her head is just doesn't flow with how violent and brutal the action is.
It really isn't a big deal though. Just something that made me go, "wait, what?"

her face does look fucked up lol.. i can sympothize with the "awkwardness" of it though. there have always been limitations but that kinda shit sticks out when everything else looks so good. i would rather they reuse dvorahs fatality where the face melts off, just replace the bees with bubbles. he blew some bubbles she blew some bees. and why didnt he eat it?! he looks sickly, he needs his vitamins.
