So how about that Brotherhood insignia? Apparently, Quan Chi's dick is swinging so low these days that he went ahead and made his own fucking face a part of the logo. What a guy.

Kind of supports the theory that he kills Shinnok in the game. I could see him killing the leader, and changing the insignia to include his own face.

This makes me think Scorpion is only briefly able to re-establish the Shirai Ryu before being wiped out again, as shown in the comic, and that's that for the group. I was hoping for him to successfully re-establish the clan in MKX but it looks like he may only briefly re-establish them in the comics.Their brief appearance in the MKX comic may be all we get of a new Shirai Ryu. That is kind of disappointing.

Some mmos ruin franchises. One in particular, however, was launched to vastly unforseen new heights, and now the mmo IS the franchise. *CoughWarcraftCough*

And anyone who would refute that needs their damn logic circuit checked, because even if you don't like WoW, and even if you miss the Warcraft RTS games, there is absolutely no denying it was a gigantic success, and brought Blizzard piles of money and pull to make more WoW for ten years, and several other games.

BUT... That's an exception, not a norm. I love MK... But it's not popular enough to sustain an mmo.

ANYWAY...

I'm kinda disappointed by factions. I thought they'd be involved in story mode or arcade gameplay somehow. And actually have multiple members. Seems like they're just a meaningless and likely changeable tag you put on your account and earn points for online. Probably unlocks a gamer picture or titles or something dumb. Big whoop.

Yeah im hoping that after the Fox slaughter, that he does eventually rebuild sometime down the line. He told Takeda that they would rebuild eventually, maybe the events of MKX cause Scorpion to put that on the back burner for a while or something lol

I think that Quan Chi face in the brotherhood icon is interesting...

I always though the first arc of the game would feature the netherealm invasion and that's why Johnny, Sonya and Kenshi should be playable to put some playable bodies on earthrealm side (which lead to me believing the final roster should be around 30 characters)... but what if Quan Chi kills Shinnokh right from the start and the first arc of the game is netherealm vs. outworld (Kotal Jahn squadron, with Kotal proclaimed as new emperor because he would be the people's hero) instead? We will see, I still hope the first scenario is what we get though.

That those groups are chosen makes me think we will get 1 or 2 "next gen" guys from each group and probably "lore wise" all of them will have armies (unlike the Shirai Ryu for example). New flesh from Lin Kuei (more ninjas?), Special Forces (Cassie), Shadow Brotherhood (new characters... bow guy?), white lotus (Kung Jin?) and Blac Dragon (someone new to help old man Kano against the Red Dragon?).
