I've said it once before, I'd've rather had a Danny Glover skin from Predator 2 than Carl Weathers. A lot of people hate on Predator 2, but I love it! The main protagonist isn't some extreme warrior/commando, he's an LAPD officer who is dealing with a lot of shit plus the Predator! He fights the thing across the roof-tops of Los Angeles, wins, and gets a kickass flintlock out of respect from the other Predators.

Not a bad idea at all regarding the Danny Glover skin. Mac from the first Predator movie would be a cool skin for Jax as well. Billy would have been a cool alternate for Nightwolf.

You know the comics arent exactly canon to the movies.

Predator is a movie franchise.

Oh i'm aware it's just the subtle nods to the comics like the Predator 2 ending that stand out. It's like "That's so cool that they acknowledged that! I would of never understood that if it wasn't for the comics!?!"

Samething comic readers go through for DC and Marvel movies, heck even here on MKO there are users that don't read the comics but doing so adds little tid bits of lore about MKX that you wouldn't know otherwise.

That was my issue with The Walking Dead TV series they never stayed true to the comics ( i know I know, artistic licensing and creative rights.) Still though that's why I gave up on TWD TV show.

I am so excited the Predator is finally in MKX! It will be my main character for sure! I never thought this could happen. I am so happy Universal makes this possible.

I think Carl Weathers is for sure the most random character to ever make it into an MK game, even with Mokap and Meat.

HE did it before Sub-Zero so.... Predator will have a Spine Rip and a Skin Rip Fatality guaranteed pretty much.

So I wouldn't stress it too much.

As I've already said, Predators should just be able to remove their helmets at will. I don't see why a variation would require it to be unmasked.

I've already posted these in another thread, but here are stage ideas for the Predator below:

1) P2 ship interior.

2) Trophy camp from Predators. For either this stage or the above one, we should see skulls of MK creatures like a Centaur, but the trophy camp should also feature skinless corpses.

3) Either the AVP ship interior, or the exterior where Lex met the Elder with the huge spaceship in the background, and Predators in the background watching, including the Elder, unless it's been selected as a skin.

4) Atop one of the pyramids, with Aliens and Predators fighting in the background, and a stage fatality with the Aliens killing the loser. I want Aliens to appear in some capacity.


Other little things

The "Super" Predators from Predators, should be in as alts (as should every Predator designs from the movies), and they should not be taller than the Classic Predators. They should have only one wristblade coming out of their right gauntlet, which shouldn't at all change their gameplay. Also, all three of them had different-sounding grunts and roars, which I'd like them to have.

If we get the Elder from P2 as an alt, the three aiming dots should be atop it's cannon, like in the movie. This is one Predator I think should be unmasked at all time, seeing as it didn't have an helmet (unless they made one up for it).

If they want with my idea for infrared POV intros and/or X-Rays, then it should be red for the AVP Preds.

The Plasmacaster (shoulder cannon), as a special move, should allow players to lock on the opponent, and once it does, the Predator should be allowed to fire whenever it wants, and the bolt will automathically hit the opponent (who should be able to block it, duh).

I realize that's a lot to ask, but guests so far have been one-timers, so if we don't see the Predator again after MKX, then they shouldn't half-ass it.

That are a lot of good idea ́s mate! Haha i wonder if the Predator get that much attention from Netherrealm studios. But you are right, we probably never gonna see the Predator again in a MK game. And they paid Universal big money for the rights using him, so they better make full use of those rights!

Besides my wish for an unmasked Predator, i hope they make the Predator huge in size, like the jungle hunter or the city hunter! Not as small as the super predators. In the promo he looked a bit small. Better make him bigger!

It blows my mind that anyone who plays MK would be unfamiliar with Predator. Though in all honesty, the greater majority of the MK fanbase was probably still in elementary school when the abysmal AvP movies came out, so they weren't even around when the truly classic Predator first came out. Makes me feel old.

Overall, as much as I hate guest characters? The Predator announcement turned me into a giddy school girl. That is one guest character that I am SUPER happy with. And I'm trhilled that they are going with the classic Jungle Hunter rather than those awful fucking AvP movie designs with the 4 foot long wrist blades, linebacker torsos and muppet faces. Hope Wolf from AvP2 is a skin, tho...that was one bad ass pred (even if the movie sucked ass)

I really enjoyed the second movie. A lot more than I probably should, but meh.

Predator is easily my most anticipated guest. The diversity of his weaponry should prove godly.

Has anyone here played Predator: Concrete Jungle? I loved that game, even though the AI could be dumb at times. All of the executions in P: CJ would make great fatalities.

So will the Predator have alternate costumes because it was not mentioned in the last stream that DLC will have those.

I think the Predator's self-destruct move should be included as a last-resort move for all variants that can only be used when the Predator is very low on health. The opponent should be able to cancel it by defeating the Predator, which will automathically result in the it's gauntlet getting destroyed.

Though if the Predator successfully self-destructs, it shouldn't result in a win, but a draw. Meaning, it's really just an Hara-Kiri that also kills the opponent, and you'd have to restart the fight in single-player, whether you were fighting as or against the Predator.

The Predator should sometimes replay Sektor's laughter from MK9 when either activating the self-destruct mechanism, or just when it's about to explode.
