That already exists. It's called MUGEN.

MUGEN? It's basically a fighting game creator/emulator that allows you to customize everything to your liking, including characters, movesets, background stages, etc., provided you're good at that kind of stuff. I'm not. An example of a MUGEN game would be the MK Project, which basically emulates MK Trilogy with the backgrounds of the newer games (and a new cyborg character). I don't know the website off-hand, but Google it and check it out.

Just talking about killer instinct gets me going.Man i wonder if they will ever make a new killer instinct game?


There is no way mk8 will be a vs game people.They would have to establish the new engine,and introduce us to all the new stuff before they could even think about doing it.Just to come out on the next-gen with a versus game would be quite shocking,and i would hate it.

I dont know why people are saying it CANT happen.. YES its possible to have Street Fighter Characters in Mortal Kombat, YES it is possible to have Killer Instinct characters in Mortal Kombat.. I think it would be great to see some of them. Just give them the fighting style of the new MK game. Basically they would just be adding the character to the game, how they fight doesnt have to be exactly how they fought in their original games. Heck, even the MK characters arent gunna be fighting like they used to.

Ill take it as idle rumor tho.. The likely hood is pretty slim I think that they would use characters from other games (Even tho i would LOVE to see Killer Instinct Characters in the game) I LOVE SPINAL!

QUESTION::: What was the name of the Fighting arcade game that also featured sort-of fatalities which had a character named Al Rasheed?? If I can remember correctly, those characters could also fit in the MK universe. ANYONE REMEMBER THAT GAMES NAME??

Nevermind.. i remembered it. MACE: The Dark Age.. it was a fighting game released by midway in 97.. featured combos, and fatalities called Executions.. Al Rashid rocked!!

I know it can never happen, but it would be really cool for fans of Mk to see a Mortal Kombat versus Tao Feng. Simply because MK has Come to represent Ed Boon, and Tao Feng represents John Tobias.

I don;t know, I tend to think the other way around. Tekken, at least is a lot more realistic in concept than MK. But that's not saying much. The only franchise that could come close with a few bonus characters, is Unreal Tournament. The companies still have a contract don't they? And I think both are a fan of the other's franchise. It's unlikely of course, but it wouldn't surprise me if that's what happened.

Unreal Tournament, as Midway does the publishing of those games, and Raiden was a hidden character in one of those for I think the orig. Xbox.

True that does seem like a likely crossover game, however, I dont think it would work.. The characters are stale, lame, and I dont think would fit in a mortal kombat world. And the last thing a new mortal kombat game needs are new lame characters, unless of course they want to keep with the trend of the last couple games.
