U can kinda see his face if you tilt the monitor down a little bit... Looks liek an old guy with a familiar face to me but I can't say who..

The picture is a "throwback" it looks like an actual picture someone took that has had the color drained out on purpose.

What is more peculiar is the next tweet boon posts responding to a reference to Noob Saibot (who clearly has correlations to shadows.)

mmm nice work. It looks to me like Boon has photo shopped a face into an old throwback picture of a shadow (most likely from some Midway MK company field trip or the like)

The face looks like Shinnok to me.

I'm betting Shang Tsung. Fits with the MK1 characters we've been getting lately (for whatever reason even though it'd be nice if we got some other people for once) and he's evil which Ed also teased.

The photo can be found on the internet when you do an reverse image search, so it's a random shadow picture...what's interesting is the photoshoped on face when you lighten the image...

I'm randomly pulling for Shang, so if it's him, awesome. But I'm praying it's a MK4-MKD character. The face looks like Shinnok to me.

Nah I'm certain it's Shinnok now. The nose is very long and pronounced and his features are very strong, just like Shinnok. I think we're finally getting a character from MK4. FINALLY.

Ooooh, didn't even notice there was a face.

I'm definitely thinking Shinnok or Reiko now. The long, hard features of the face scream pissed off elder god, but I think I see black mask-like markings...so maybe Reiko?

What we know:

-It is a stock photo

-A face has been photo shopped into the picture.

What we can infer:

Boon used a stock photo of a shadow for a reason. Something in his head said "I am going to tweet a teaser for _____ character" and he typed in "shadow of a person" into google and found this image. So this character has some relevance to shadows.

My final guess: shinnok. The face drops Noob down a few pegs. (crossing my fingers for Noob though)

Also..

The mask people are claiming to see I think are just facial shadows. It looks like an elderly persons face. Honestly my first reaction was "holy shit thats Magneto!" but I'm leaning heavily on Shinnok.
