One could argue Sonya is the Chun-Li of the MK universe. And you say "Kick Projectile" and I see Dairou's Iron Leg special. Just..no no thanks.
Sure you could make her Tae kwon do but she needs more than just a martial art she needs specials and for this game she would need variations.

Her only notable attributes were: Outworld Girl, Martial Arts and I'm sorry but I just find that to be boring.

Compared to Johnny, Liu, Kung, Kai, Sonya, Jax and Bo they all have things that make them unique (or in the case of Kai could have had). And Shujinko was at least a copycat.

It's not that I hate Li Mei even, I just think much like Darrius and Dairou who were just thrown together, she's got very very little going for her to be anything but a nice cameo.

Here's the bottom line - boring or interesting is subjective. Ultimately it really doesn't matter what anybody wants one way or the other. Either NRS puts her in MKX or they don't. Personally I'll openly hope she makes it in not because of what she was in the past but because of the potential that perhaps lays ahead. NRS has shown they can revive old designs.

I would hope that if Li Mei is indeed included that people would be willing to have an open mind regarding her. If not...doesn't matter.

Ed did memtion fun cameos in the story. this gets me hype. DLC pls.

Heck, it's pretty much the only reason Skarlet has any shred of popularity.
