Eh...while I do appreciate the bold approach to jumping ahead in time and bringing in new generations of kombatants, there are some characters that just don't need to be succeeded. Goro is the best Shokan thus far and if there is going to be a playable Shokan, it may as well be the one with the most name value.

In MKvsDC, Shang had his MK3 clothing for his main look. Of course it was updated, but, looked cool.

Goro is still my favourite boss character in the series and I'd be ecstatic if he returned to kick ass.

Also; Can we get Kevin Michael Richardson to reprise his role, please?

It's looking like Goro is very popular to MK fans.

Fans want him playable this time around and a few want him as the Sub-Boss.

Since Boon had mentioned that a fun returning character is returning as the big bad, then....is it possible that he could return as the main boss?

Goro is one of the most iconic MK characters. People forget that. And I hope he is NOT a boss.

It was without a doubt the best design he has had. I'm not sure I want it to return though. I am really hoping to see something new for Shang if he is returning. Something fresh. Something like him becoming a good guy like his arcade ending hinted at.

To me Mk 9 had the best Shang Tsung, both young and old.
I don't like his Fatalities in that game though.

Yeah we need a new and improved version of his soul steal most definitely. His Kintaro transformation fatality back in the day was cool, too.

Well since NRS proved they could handle larger characters, it'd be very interesting to see what they could do with Goro as a normal playable character.

I guess with now NRS being able to make good brute/ grappler characters after Injustice and Ferra/Torr, they want to give Goro another chance. Especially for his fans who wanted to have him playable in MK9. I'm actually very excited that he has a chance to take up a character slot in MKX.

I don't think Goro or whatever Shokan reveal they're going for would be the final boss. They probably wouldn't spoil the final boss before most of the actual roster, especially when the roster is made up of new characters (and possibly lesser known 3D era characters).

About Goro himself...hmmm...NRS could do him justice as a bruiser/grappler, but I'd miss that boss mystique of his, especially so soon after he got it back in MK9.

Hmm,I didn't think of that. I think if they bring him back (I don't remember seeing him get offed in MK10) they should make him like a king of the Shokans, was he always a prince in the previous Continuity? (Unless that was just a movie thing,in which case....that's embarrassing for me). And he'd need some characterization,or I guess he could have a descendant with a personality with the same red eyes that the animated goro had in a 2d/digital mk movie thing for extra cool points.

As we know Johnny is confirmed to be in and yes, we are not sure in which way. Sonya, Liu and Shang are still to come. There was mention about Sonya and Liu, but no initial conformation. Shang on the other hand, we know ditto about him.
