Hmm I wouldn't mind Kai. Though part of me sorta wants a female monk character. A Li Mei that doesn't fail at everything. I was just suggesting a mashup of Liu Kang and Kung Lao so that players can still at least enjoy their playstyle even if they are no longer in the game... but on second thought maybe it would just be better to leave it be and go on to new and hopefully better things.

Ferra might be the brain, but, Torr throws her around to act as a weapon. Torr barely has any moves, Ferra does pretty much all the specials.
I don't have anything against the duo, I like them.

Female cyborg in need > Frost! Part human/cyborg. As far as we know by looking at the select screen, it looks like there will be 2 cyborgs in MKX. I do hope Sektor is in and maybe Cyber Smoke or if Kano is more cyborg at this time.
I do want a female cyborg though.

I honestly don't think I'd ever play with Torr alone.

He just doesn't seem as much fun as Ferra.



A female cyborg is the last thing we need, and we honestly do not need a female counterpart for every male character in the series.

We have Cyrax and Sektor. That is enough. Really, it should just be Sektor.

I really don't wanna bring the race card into play, but i'd love the main hero ,if there is one, to be African-American. Well Kai is Nepali but still it will be refreshing in a fighting game for the main hero not to be the classic Kung-Fu-Bruce Lee kinda guy. Besides I find Kai very interesting in terms of both look and fighting style. If they update his handstand moves he will be glorious.

For me it is.

Cyrax = Worse Color
Cyrax = GOod, and I dislike good characters
Cyrax = Cool in abilities (I love the net and bombs) but Sektor is better.
Sektor = Better in storyline, hes the real bad-ass robot character and Cyrax wants to escape his fate.

Cyrax is kinda interesting for a Goodguy tho, but I hope he won't return as full robot, I hope he becomes a human with robot features. Sektor must stay the only true cyborg.

And I agree, NO female cyborg please, its too much.


I watched some Frost-based stuff on the internet and I kinda grew to Frost, as she is the only evil ice-user left in the series. I kinda like her more than Sub-Zero now.

Well in case of Sektor and Cyrax I think the color red is more awesome. Other characters are not affected as blue is my favorite color but Kitana and Sub-Zero are among my least favorite characters.

Story, Appearance and alignment do play a roll in how I like them.

I'm not saying Cyrax shouldn't be the in the series; I'm saying Sektor should be the only cyborg. He is the only one who wanted to be one, so he should be the only one to stay one.

I read the list and i saw Sektor and Nitara almost at the end and i thought "No, i don't have any wish to choose 16 fighters from this stupid list".

The list got even worse after this.

Now meat is on the list, higher than Sektor...

Every time I talk about MK9 and how beautifully balanced it is, these are the same exact characters I mention when I go "Except...". I'm surprised Rain isn't 5.

I don't care for their return since they will play differently this time if they do.

I invited more than 600+ people on facebook yesterday night and today, to go vote for cyrax & sektor, even if half those people vote Sektor will most definately go up in the ranking.

Even though that poll is fully unofficial and im sure Cyrax/Sektor will be in the game, those 2 were great to play with and well balanced! Also the fan base is much bigger for them than most characters.

i find them boring to play as. also think tis stupid how its even possible for them to beat a superhuman male. but i love females nonetheless just dont like playing as them in mk.

Um..you do know that there is a variation where Ferra is purely a spectator and Torr fights by himself right? How does he barely have any moves?

I have a soft spot for underdogs that never get a shot (Tremor and Chameleon in this instance - still want Khameleon more. Her (limited) story was 'deeper' than her male counterpart's.) I also tried to have a lot of post MK3 characters so they can get their due in this next-gen Mortal Kombat. Not a perfect list but a list none the less.

I'm really a fan of what they did with his backstory, so hopefully this whole Enenra thing saves him from death!

I would've chosen Khameleon for this spot but Reptile will have to do! Let's get some lizard action going on!

The Chaosrealm cleric must return! He's a force to be reckoned with, unpredictable, and had some really fun, cool moves!

5. Nitara
I've voiced my opinion on her before, but she really needs to come back. She fits in with the vibe of MKX!

6. Skarlet
The only new character from MK9, she has so much potential, it'd suck to see her not get another appearance.

7. Bo' Rai Cho
I think he's also somewhat of a given, but we'll have to see. I'd love a serious take on him.

8. Reiko
This was an odd pick for me, but I think he should come back, especially if this Brotherhood of Shadow plot happens within MKX.

9. Quan Chi
C'mon now, he's coming back.

10. Shinnok
You can't have a sequel hook like that and not expand on it!

11. Mileena
Another odd pick for me, at least out of this list. She's going to need some major development if she wants to stack up to her original timeline counterpart, but I think it can happen.

12. Cyrax
Our favorite cyber-ninja! I really dug him joining the White Lotus Society and fighting for peace. The implication that he broke free of his cyber-programming on his own free will is interesting. He's gotta come back!

13. Noob Saibot
For similar reasons to Reiko, though the last time someone was thrown into a Soulnado they became the champion of the Elder Gods...hmm.

14. Frost
Could be an interesting foil to our new Sub-Zero! It'll be interesting to see her again, she has such a mixed reception that I'd love to see what they'd do with her in the story.

15. Fujin
Almost a given, he was almost DLC for MK9, and with Raiden screwing things up so bad, he could have a really interesting role.

16. Kenshi
The only post-MK4 character to show up in MK9, I think he's also a given at this point. Kenshi is really cool, though I have no idea what they'll do for his story this time around.

I always post who I think will return, rather than who I would pick if I were making the game, so this time I'll pick the 16 characters I'd like to see most, even though I'm not expecting most of them.
