Honestly I think I liked Mileena the most. She seriously seems badass as fuck, especially when she says "Now you wish to steal my means of reclaiming it!"

Ugh, so much better than her MK9 appearance. I'm loving what i've seen so far with this trailer, just worried by the lack of Fujin.

Impressive, very impressive. But something here is a bit...off....

According to the comic, the Netherrealm War finished years ago....and from Jacqui's very existence, we inferred that Jax, Kitana, and Kung Lao were freed then.

But now we see the young crew fighting revenant Kitana alongside Sindel....

But that ( Raiden trapping Shinnok) didn't happen during MK 1 .....when it happened, humans didn't exist( therefore why would Johnny and Sonya be in that scene).

I'm thinking Kitana didn't get freed back then. Sindel obviously wasn't. Kitana got out later?

Also, why is Sindel in her old costume, if this is indeed a scene from the war, but Kitana(zombie Kitana that is) in a brand new costume?

They gave Shinnok a new look because OF COURSE THEY GAVE SHINNOK A NEW LOOK. Why wouldn't they?

Erron Black also appears in the scene next to Kotal Kahn when Kotal's forces surround our young heroes.

Guys that's not human Cyrax....that's "Apprentice era Takeda" in Shirai Ryu garb fighting human Scorpion a la Anakin vs Obi Wan.

I know queen Mileena is basically confirmed, but it scares me we only see her in one setting... like they better not make her a badass boss and then fucking kill her off within her first major sequence... and she BETTER be damn playable, or I'mma be livid.

Baraka with the old design makes me think he will not be in, unless he's a DLC. Makes sense since he is a very iconic character, Tartakans are a lot in the story and you need to appeal to a large crowd with the kombat pack of 2 classic DLC. If he's not in that pack, not much chance for Baraka. Rain and Sindel also feel like story mode appearances, nothing more. Sonya dead maybe in that scene with Shinnok? Johnny might be in, either DLC or in the main game.

First off, I am pretty sure that is Shinnok being trapped by Raiden circa MK4 era. It does appear to be Johnny and Sonya with Raiden.

Going off of pure speculation, I doubt this will be the last we see of Shinnok. The amulet seems to be key in this game. While it held pretty steady in the original timeline, I am not sure why NRS would include his demise as a throwaway scene in their first actual trailer, unless it had importance to the rest of the plot.

I don't think he will be the big bad, but I have a feeling he will return as a later-tier sub boss. He looks bad-ass, so if not, I really hope for Shinnok as DLC at the very least. His new design shouldn't go to waste.

Rain's belly is showing. So it could be a new design. Very Aladdin-Like.

In my opinion, the five officially revealed characters were:

1.Jacque Briggs
2. Takeda
3. Kung Jin
4. Shinnok
5. Mileena

Yep.

Mileena, Shinnok and the 3 new ones definitely highlighted and most featured in the trailer. The others like Rain, Baraka, Sindel only make quick appearances (in old costumes).

So cassie and kotal are the main protagonists it seems.

Apologies in advance to the Mileena stans on here but if she's the final boss of the game, it's going to be beyond idiotic.
