Put away your pitchforks and torches.

Okay, yes MKM: Sub-Zero wasn't very good, but lets just consider the concept. Its actually kind of cool to have a game devoted to your favorite character (at least in my opinon it is), and future Mythologies games could be used to introduce new characters, like how MKM:SZ brought us Sareena and Quan Chi.

I even have a few ideas for the games. Since MKM should be about characters past, that's the direction I took with them.

MKM:Scorpion
You control Scorpion while he is still human, before MKM:SZ, serving the Shirai Ryu. You can also finally get to know Scorpion's family (something I've always wanted to do) Ends with Scorpions death and rebirth.

MKM: Kitana & Mileena
A co-op game (you can still play by yourself though) that has you serving Shao Kahn as his loyal assasain. You'll always have Kitana or Mileena by your side. Ends when Kitana finds out about her true parents.

MKM: Ermac
Chronicles Ermac's years when he was free of Shao Kahns control, hadn't met Kenshi yet, and shortly after that. The final Boss battle is during Deception, against Sonya, Jax, Kitana, Kung Lao, and Johnny Cage all at the same time.

if they bring back mkm i dont want it to revolve around "Ninjas" rather see it be based on baraka or cage or even raiden..actually i would love to see raiden!

Chronicles Raiden's war with Shinnok. You'll see the full extent of Raidens godly powers, and a few realms will be obliterated

MKM: The Lin Kuei Duo

This game would feature Sub-Zero and Smoke during the events of MKII and end after Smoke is captured by the Lin Kuei and converted into a cybernetic demon.

I'd like to see a Mythologies game around Scorpion for one, as well as Raiden and perhaps Fujin. Not sure about who else would be fitting for some origins about their pasts.

You know, Onaga fits in the Shao Kahn story line. In the beginning actually.

It'd be really cool to start off the game in a boss fight against Onaga. Have a slightly younger looking Shao Kahn, differently dressed kill off Onaga and assume the thrown. Then, go on the ventures through him conquering the realms and what ever.

This whole thing also fits in the Edenia storyline too. So it could all be one big game. You'd get more characters on the roster too.

hells yeah. or even start a game with onaga, flow into kahn's rise, and maybe even end it with the coming of shang tsung. they still need to answer where shang came from. be a great, looonnngg game.

MKM: The Elder Gods

MKM: Shang Tsung

MKM: Outworld Would cover the history of Outworld, e.g. Shao Kahn and Onaga

MKM: Order vs. Chaos

The two Mythologies-type games I'd be most interesting in seeing is one based Kitana, Mileena, and Jade. It could take place back when they were all loyal to Shao Kahn and maybe explain how Kitana learned the truth about her past.
I'd also like to see one on Shao Kahn's past...explaining who he is and showing his rise to power.

One on Raiden would be cool, too.

Actually, invadera, all of your ideas sound really good. I was trying to think of a good placing for a Scorpion one, but I think you nailed it. And I actually think they're ALL good! I'd rush out and buy every one, especially before this crossover they've burdened us with. Do you have any other ideas, I'd like to hear them if you wouldn't mind. wink

I actually can't believe there isn't a Scorpion-based MK game yet.

If they do a Mythos for him it could start in his past leading up to his death and then continues up to the point where he kills the original Sub Zero (which happened between MK1 and 2). Or possibly even up to where he becomes the Elder Gods Champion and takes out Onaga.

Personally, I would like to see his full history in one game as he has a really interesting story - from when he was alive, up until the huge battle in Armageddon - but I'm probably asking too much.

MKM: JADE!!!!

In the intro, it should be about her childhood days with Kitana and how they both ended up being enslaved by Shao Khan. During gameplay, it should be about her mission as an assassin of Shao Khan to how she'd have to rescue Kitana in MK3-MKT. Then before the ending, it should be about how Jade had to help Sindel bring back Kitana to normal from Onaga's spell. The ending should be about Jade accomplishing her mission but must get ready for the next threat in Mortal Kombat. Something like that you know.
