There certainly is an argument to be made that the character doesn't fit with the current direction of the game based on the trailer, but there is also a line of thinking that he could be redesigned with some of his more sillier mechancs being changed. Where do you guys fall regarding the man who trained the champion?

No, he should never be slimmer. Ever.
His appearance is the epitome of his theme, deception. No one takes him seriously at first glance, because he appears to be nothing more than a fat, lazy drunk. It's when he fights that his true nature is shown.
If his size is taken from him, he loses his significance and becomes just another MK character.

Point taken!

I loved his drunken style in MKDA but I'm not sure if it'll work in this game and Johnny Cage is destined to be the "comic relief" character for MKX right?

Bo' Rai Cho doesn't have to be comic relief, though.
He has a lot more going for him than being silly.

I think he should look like this http://dc656.4shared.com/img/jh9PM5gG/s7/140d4d93378/Gragas.png

No.
Whether he makes a return as a playable character or just as a npc, I would greatly appreciate his return. He is a favorite, and I could care less if he has his toilet humor intact. Hey, if it's his character, it's his character. Bring on the puke!

While this is true story wise, unfortunately the majority of his moves gameplay wise were comical.

They can change the silly moves. Like MKDA Kenshi (an Ermac wannabe) has almost nothing to do with MK9 Kenshi.

Sure, why not? The guy is literally one of if not the greatest martial arts instructors in the MK universe.
Hell yes. He's one of the better new characters despite his moveset needing ...tuning. Hearkens back to the classic kung-fu flicks as influence, so he's always fit right at home with the original cast members, I say.

This is not a good example because while there are many differences between Kenshi in MKDA and Kenshi in MK9, those differences aren't that significant.
I get what you're saying though, but how should they go about it? What kind of new moves should they give him besides hurling and farting?

All they have to do is remove the farting and burping and replace the vomit with wine.

But if he IS included, he should not be thinner... We need some kind of body diversity in this game.. not every one should look the same...

@ whatuknowaboutMK?
Bo's MKDA/MKD/MKA moves:
Puke Puddle - it's a silly/gross move. Since it's a stunner move, it should be replaced with another of this type. For example, he can spill his liquor on the ground or all over his opponent, causing the other fighter to get dizzy from inhaling alcohol vapors.
Flip Flop - nothing silly about it.
Ground Stomp - again, nothing silly about it.
Belly Bash - it suits the character, but I guess some people may find it silly. So, it can be modified to be a head/shoulder attack a drunken master would do.
I can see his MKDA fatality as his Xray move. Kinda reminds me of Ermac's Xray in MK9. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t7GtbnHYG9Q
Bo's second MKD fatality was great:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tTcnbvCHhWE
It may return as such or a toned down version of it could be used as a new special move.
Master Cho is one of the not so many well established post-MK4 characters, and it's not that hard to make him even better.

Why does everyone want to take away the puke puddle? Take away the farts and belching, but keep the puke.
Being able to puke on command is a skill dammit.
