it can be exciting at times but than there are people that make it not so exciting. people have different views and nobody considers others thoughts and opinions. they want what they want and that is it. as for your statement on MK:A being a let down...it was one of my favorite MK games. MKvsDC was a letdown for the veteran fans but the new coming fans may beg to differ. so i see that letdown statement as pure critics opinion.
in anycase,i am with you 100% on wanting the game released this year.

Ah, don't worry about it man. When a lot of people are collectively waiting on something, eventually some people are going to need to blow off a little steam. It just means that they're in to it and they want some news just like the rest of us.

Sometimes that impatience boils over a little. I'm impatient for the next game. I want to see stuff. Granted, I don't post threads on here about it, but some people do and ya know what? I think that's just fine. Sure, I don't want to see the front page littered with threads about it, but a few here and there aren't bad.

It kind of helps me realize that in the lean times, when the news is scarce or nonexistent and there seem to only be about 4 or 5 users on this site at a given time, that there ARE other people out there that want this next game as much, if not more than I do. I think that's cool and I have no problem with that.

Still, though, I get your point that some people's frustration can be a bit negative and thus, somewhat annoying, so I respect your opinion on that as well and hear where you're coming from.

As far as MKA was concerned, I was absolutely only stating my opinion. I'm sorry if it looked like I was trying to pass it off as fact. It was just that alot of people on here were disappointed over the fatality structure, the silly air combos, but most of all, the absolute hatchet job the MK team did on the stories for each character.

The game was decent, and I actually liked the air combos a little bit and the fact that the fighting system was simplified and a bit more intuitive than MK:D and MK:DA, but there were some definite knocks against MKA and they weren't small potatoes in the eyes of many MK fans. That's all I was really getting at.

I like all the MK fighting games, even if I tend to rant about my hatred for MK3, I still enjoy it, even the MK team ripped the heart out of what made MK1 and 2 so freakin awesome, dropped a load on it and then took turns tap dancing on it. I still like it, just not a tenth as much as the other games in the series.

But yeah, even though I like all of the MK fighting games, I think it's fair to point out when some parts of each game are disappointing. MKA just happened to have enough of those glaring flaws where I'd say the game, taken as a whole, was disapointing. Still fun, but not nearly what it could've been. That's all.

i agree that MK:A had flaws...every game does. look at Modern Warfare 2 with all the glitching for example. MK:A was rushed obviously and probably should have been on next gen consoles such as ps3 and 360 but Midway was pushing its money maker to try and save the company...doing so caused their demise instead. the whole game was not disappointing in my opinion. as for the air juggles...some of it did look a bit silly but i liked it a lot.
the main feature that attracted me was the create a character even though it was lackluster and missing valuable elements...it was the first attempt at such a system in the franchise so it needs work but its a good base to build on. as for the story well...that is where the worse of the game is...probably the biggest reason why people put it down i guess. to me a fighting game is not meant to have a deep story anyway...they are made for competitive gaming, fun and violence. sure the story needs to be logical even if they are what if stories but they don't need to be as deep as a novel. the fatality system was kind of a disappointment to me because when i heard create a fatality...i thought i get to pick the animations like you know WWE games with finishers. i was let down by stuff in the game myself but it still is my favorite MK...well runner up to MK:T. (EDIT: 5/1/10 - April is over and its safe to say no solid news officially confirmed yet. Will May be the month or will we have to anticipate June for E3? i think this thread can be closed now)
