Interesting character concepts, too. Blind swordsmen, demon slaying others to cleanse her own soul, a devious minion whose only goal is to create chaos, a drunken master, the God of Wind, a rogue Elder God and a murderous backstabbing traitor who'll do anything to accomplish her own goals. And I guess a vampire could be done properly if given the right spin.

Yes, all great concepts which could've been (and still can be) expanded upon greatly.

Oh, absolutely I would love to see more Deception characters in future games. Best roster of characters overall in any game in my opinion, plus it'll always hold a place in my fangirl heart for being Ermac's coming-out party.

Anyway, in terms of new characters from the game who should be in MKX: definitely Dairou. He has the best storyline potential out of all four C/O guys, because his profession doesn't restrict him to just the Orderealm and he could therefore just as easily adapt to Earthrealm or Outworld.
Plus, I love his backstory, as small as it is.

I hope the Lin Kuei Grandmaster is in MKX! Since the endings are non-canon and Sektor didn't "kill" his "father", I think he would be a great addition.

None of the endings are canon. What is the point of having a story-mode, if endings will be canon? All the characters that died during story-mode, their endings will be non-canon. As for the survivors, I guess it's a different story then.
