I'm slightly concerned that they are being developed by a whole other team because I don't know if they will be treated with the same quality of characters on the initial roster. But at the same time i'm relieved to hear it because that allows the NRS team to devote and focus entire on the MKX task at hand. I'm also inclined to believe that the NRS team will review the work before they approve it so i'm not that concerned.

Granted, the price leads me to believe that these characters are going to be rather economical in design. They may be limited to one variation with all their voice/sound clips imported from MK9.

NRS killed off the OLD characters for a reason, and more of them will die in MKX. This is MK 2.0 now, either quit dwelling on the past or quit playing/caring about Mortal Kombat all together.

Let's see:

Liu Kang- Dead. Gone. His services are no longer needed

Shang Tsung- see Liu Kang

Jax- Never amounted to much anything, we don't need Black stereotypes walking around. Good riddance Jax.

Kung Lao- 2nd rate Liu Kang, farewell KL.

Kitana- Dead as a door knob. Good riddance to her.

Jade- see Kitana.

Stryker- MK does not need a damn cop. Why was he even created to begin with? John Tobias was an idiot, that's why.

Shao Kahn- sayonara

Sub Zero #2- Make room for Sub Zeroes #3-#3,000,000. He's just a mask and a name.
