Joking aside, eh, if they have a purpose to play, I guess it wouldn't hurt, but I don't want this being an angels versus demons story suddenly.

I wouldn't mind a sort of angel who is sent to deal with some of the problems going on. I would want him/her to not really care about helping the good people and just not really be invested in the stuff going on besides just ending it.

I dont know if I would like something like the pic that was linked. I wouldn't want the look to scream powerful/warrior. They could still give the character a cool design but I think someone who doesnt really seem like they would be a threat till they just start wiping people out would be cool.

Even though i'm pretty sure Kotal isn't fully evil I would picture this character coming to stop whatever Kotal is doing. The char makes it clear to kotal they're going to put an end to what he's doing. Kotal laughs it off and sends his guys to kill the angel and the angel just wrecks everyone then Kotal is like : O

I agree, Angels vs Demons sounds cheesy as hell, don't we already have beings from a spirit realm, those could be the equivalent of "angels".

Angels could just be the God's warriors that are denizens of "heaven". They wouldn't have to have a certain kind of look. I mean Raiden and Fujin just look like dudes so why couldnt their angel's?

I would like to see Fujin come down, reprimand Raiden and bring an "angel" warrior with him to bolster the number of earthrealm fighters

Funny my first KAK was an angel (who bore a strong resemblance to me).

I do think, however, that as far as archetypal 'angelic' qualities go, there is Ashrah. She uses heavenly light blasts, wears white, uses a holy sword, is on a quest for purity etc etc. The things about her that make her NOT an angel (i.e. being a former demon with a Big Trouble in Little China ninja garb) are the very reasons she breaks the stereotypical mould. Adding an actual angel might be too similar or oversaturation.

Well Ashrah was deliberately created to take the "fallen angel" trope and create the opposite, an "ascending demon".

Also, her sword was apparently made by a race that either are angels or pose as angels...but aren't really nice, pure creatures from heaven, they're just glowy people who hate vampires.

An angel of death type of character would be pretty damn kool. Perhaps an Emissary that the Elder Gods sent down to clean up the inevitable disasters that will transpire in MK X.
