I think it's his alternate for two reasons: It looks way too much like his MK9 alt; and after all the fanfare with the release of that concept art, NRS really can't just go ahead and abandon that altogether in designing the character.

You talk as if all we have to look at are a few seconds of a teaser. There was an hour long stream, in which they played with Ermac probably for at least 30 minutes, showing off his variations in detail. I don't think that is the same as "a few YouTube clips".

Only thing I'm disappointed in is that he floats all the time. Kinda wish he was on his feet for 1 variation, or only floated for 1 variation. Oh and his xray is kinda over the top, why float that far back?.

Besides that. I Love what I'm seeing. His face is menacing. His moves are great. he finally is utilizing his telekinesis in normal attacks; even more so than in mk9.

All I can speak upon is the visuals and I am very happy.

The gameplay specific stuff I can't really say because the guys in the twitch cast are TERRIBLE. They're really bad.

I Haven't been impressed with Ermac since Mk trilogy. he's ass now. that flying shit is worse than the whole "we are many " soul gimmick. Just make him a fucking ninja for crying out loud.

Ikr! I'm intrigued with it and probably one of the best designs in MKX out of all the male returnees a long with Reptiles.

I hope he gets the more reaper-ish look from the art.

Don't like his design at all, to be honest. I was expecting "more", so to speak. Similarly unimpressed by the quite decent amount of gameplay we've seen of him.

I loved Ermac in Deception when he was a good guy and i loved his design. I hate Ermac in MK9. He was soooo spammy and ugly. Idk why though. MKX looks to be the same as MK9. I really wanted a variation with his Axe from Deception. Oh well.

I'm not disappointed with anything about Ermac, though I'm a little worried about the learning curve for his Spectral variation. Not being able to block while flying leaves him pretty vulnerable if you're not on top of it. However, judging by the gameplay in the stream, he appears to be able to dodge just about anything -- even teleport attacks and probably even high projectiles -- extremely fast, leaving him with a pretty wide advantage to get some hits in. A good player could presumably be untouchable. But it doesn't exactly look easy.
