I can't really agree or disagree on this just yet. Ermac is back, he is looking great design wise and can't talk much about his game play till I play it.

In all honesty, people need to withhold judgment on the characters' gameplay until the game has actually come out, rather than going by a few YouTube clips.

Yeah I'd reserve judgement until the final build. Nothing is final yet, so it's hard to speak on it. But that vanish move will be damn good. I can see it now.

I disagree with you saying that he has the same problems. to me he seems faster and he does have mix-ups, you can see in the stream while they are playing he had an attack which I am assuming will be Back+3,2 that starts low and goes into an overhead, something like Quan Chi's Low to Overhead attack from MK9. So you saying he doesn't have mixups "Like MK9" Then I disagree.

His design was a bit weird at first but it does fit him.

His design is absolute shit. I don't get this *jizz* over the hooded look. And doesn't help one bit that he looks like a fucking zombie. Hopefully, it's not his primary, but I doubt that given they released a render in the hooded variation. Official renders are only released for primary costumes, no?

His design is cool and a lot better than any of his past ones.

No. They released the Reptile render and Reptile's costume on the character select screen is different.

Ermac looks great! He has one of the best XRAYs revealed so far.

The character that has impressed me the least is definitely Reptile. He looks cool and all but not nearly as good as the other characters. Hopefully seeing more will impress me a lot more. I'm sure it will! But as of now, not really impressed.

I'm really, really not feeling his design this go around. Its just his MK9 alt with his MK9 main face but less wraps and freddy Krueger skin. I hope his alt loses the hood and overall wizard look and adds a more ninja like mask. I miss Ermac being more of a mystery. I didn't like his X-ray either, there's a billion things they could do with his telekinesis but instead he charges you head first like a human torpedo. His fatality was badass tho, and for as much as I'm whining, I am glad he's in the game. I didn't like Reptile at first either but he has massively grown on me and is now the character I'm most looking forward to seeing. The same could happen for Ermac, I just hope his alt is better.

Gameplay wise its too early to tell. But I do kinda get the impression from what we've seen so far Kung Lao will be top tier again and Ermac will be lower mid. Like OP said, Ermac's flight variation just seems terrible for an MK game, although I'm sure it will help in a select few match ups. Since this game seem's to be including the majority of the MK9 cast it would be imo really lame to have an almost identical tier list. I'm tired of bird lao getting every tool you could ever want in a fighting game, I wanna see Raiden near the top for once. But, like I said, its way too early to decide tiers, this is just a vague, uninformed worry of mine.

i had the most fun with ermac in mk9 but i'm with you that it didn't really impress by looks alone. yeah he can fly around but what does that do? the disappearing act is nice lol. his combos looked pretty much the same. it's nothing mind blowing but he still looks fun to play.

Way, way too early to tell for the gameplay aspects at least. I personally love his slim look, and I loved his alt in MK9 so i'm happy with him overall tbh.

I would like to think they've been releasing alternates first so as to have some surprises left when the finished game is released.

Too early to judge, but I do agree Spectral looks to be extremely punishable in the wrong / inexperienced hands. The payoff needs to be good.

Well, he looks fucking awful, really dislike his design.

The gameplay, I'd agree looks slow and punishable. He's also a favorite of mine, but I doubt I'll even touch him in MKX. Also that flying variation he has is absolutely ridiculous.
