I actually did like stages like The Nexus and Apokolips so I wouldn't mind seeing that type of stage return in a future game.

Holy shit, the Elder Gods hijacked Neil Degrasse Tyson's Cosmos.

Perhaps Neil Degrasse Tyson is actually one of the Elder Gods. wink

These things creep me out, the unexplained unexplored "infinite nothingness" "emptiness". It creeps me out. Although a stage like the ones Cassel and Razor were talking about would be cool.

Though I don't think interactables in this game are going to create the balancing issues like they did in Injustice, I'll admit that I'm not crazy about them. I like the purity of the neutral game. I don't think every character should have a projectile or a hard-hitting special.

Seriously, nothing changed about this interactable concept.
It's just it's now in a MK game.
Enjoy your broken game.
No seriously, I fear for Ferra/Torr though. It SEEMS like they move slow like Bane when it should be on par with other fighters like Doomsday did. *sigh*
This could only be saved if one of their Variation is [average] speed. Again, assuming.

But I guess we'll see...heh heh. Oh boy >_>

If so, he's the only one who has his marbles together.

So many things have changed about the interactions from Injustice to MKX. For one in Injustice some interactions keep coming back, they're usable throughout the whole match. So far in MKX, there are only a few, to two, interactions per stage. And they don't do a ton of damage like Injustice.

Not to mention, projectile Interactables are blockable now. And so far, the Interactables are the same for everyone.

It really was the best stage fatality. So simple yet so brutal and ruined in MK9 by mixing it with the first pit.

Really?

I always thought that the Pit 2 was forgettable comp[ared to the first one's pit bottom sights. Pit 3 was too goofy.

I'd completely forgotten about those spin-y things in Pit 3.

But yeah, Pit 1/Pit Bottom are gruesome especially the latter but I enjoy the simplicity of the Pit 2. Just knocking someone off and watching them go splat. I thought it was awesome.

Yeah, I was always a huge fan of the Pit II. The simplicity, the camera angle change, the extended screams on their way down (which still, to this day seems like some of the best MK ever offered in death cries).

They did a good job at merging the two, but if I had my way they'd still be seperate.

Same here. I agree that they ruined the fatality in MK9. I preferred the Pit II over the Pit I in terms of the stage fatality. My favorite stage fatality of all time though is still the Subway in MK3/UMK3/MKT, lol.

Space isn't infinite actually. Space has to be finite due to the laws of physics, planck, ect. Also both the nexus and space can't seperately be infinite, infinite would be everything, also the nexus is on top of a mountain, not in infintie space.

By that logic, you are saying that the realms, the nexus, outer space and the entities exist in one universe. That could only mean that by modern accepted laws of physics and science, all the realms have to separate planets/areas/existences in he same universe?

Hahaha no.

Secondly, nobody can definitely say anything about the laws of the universe. Nobody really knows if it ends or not. As far as I am concerned, it is impossible for it to be infinite but impossible still for it to end. If atoms, light and dark matter are an inch from he edge of the universe, how could it just stop? But even more interestingly, if here is in fact an edge of he universe, WHY hasn't all the light of all the stars reflected off of it and back at us? Why isn't the sky just infinite light bouncing back at us instead of dark?

You can never answer this so don't try to tell me what is impossible. Even more so, this is a story in a video game, they aren't concerned with the edge of the universe.

And the entire merging of he realms wouldn't make ANY sense if they were in the same universe unless "realms" refers to a section of the universe and the merging is really of planets... Which makes no sense at all because of things like the laws of the Netherrealm. How would you need to have a degree of evil stain on your soul to exist in a universe hat is one with earth realm? Nope.

In my mind, every realm is its own dimension/universe with its own ending/infinite space. Including the nexus.

Casselman, I know what you are saying, thats why space is Finite and unbounded. it has a finite size, but does not end. Think of Pac man.

But it is not possible for space to be infinite, that goes againt the laws of physics and everything.

The laws of physics are made up by man. End of story. Everything that we all say is only theoretical and will be seemingly forever irrelevant.

Err no. Theoretical does not mean "we think it is so". That is a hypothesis.

You cannot make up 2+2 euqals 4. That concept simply is. It's called an axiom.

Oh so the laws of physics don't exist? How many possible directions or degrees of freedom can you follow then?

And also, you say that it's a video game and that it's not concerned with the edge of the universe, correct? If you want to get technical then, the game ends at each edge of the screen of your television set . Also in data as well.

Just saying man, Logic some more before you act all cocky.

There is no cocky. There is my opinion and your opinion. Each are equal and each have reasons. Whether or not those reasons are supported by others are as unique as the supporters or refuters. Not really my concern at all. I contributed to the thread. Good enough for me.

I respect your opinion as much as my own. Healthy or even aggressive debate is a thriving forum. Glad to have it. Doesn't at all mean that I'm making it personal. Not myself or even people like Chrome (lol<3) are always right. At least I can understand that.

It is not about being right. Science is not about us being right, but getting right the patterns that govern our existence.

Agreed. And after researching definitions, I misused "theory", slightly. Good call, I guess. Haha.

Hypothesis*

Anyways. I believe The Nexus is the best existing level.
