Cool, that does seem like a lot. Now let's just hope they're good.

That's somthing like 7 characters, or considering they're setting records and are proud about it, seems like MKSM was. How many fatalities did MKSM have in it anyway? Somn' like 10 per Kang/Lao? Then what? 2 per the other few characters? Bout 40 total?
Anyway, they must have the mocap process down. Which would make this potentially good news.

IF they could be creative enough, I would enjoy seeing 3-4 per character. They have the ability. Now if they just had the creativity.

I just hope their are multiple fatalities per character as well as stage fatalities.
I think you should be able to run through the entire game without using the same finisher.

These fatalities better not be where they're sadly doing absolutely nothing cool in their finishers.
Deception pulled this reason out of my mind and onto this thread for a reason. Here comes the examples:
Sindel had at least one good fatality, her Banshee Scream, the other one was just pure crap.
Kabal's finishers, both of them, were just lame.
Ermac's was just a lame imitation of Kenshi's. What they could have done was leave out Kenshi for Deception and just leave Ermac in it. It was completely pointless to have two characters who had basically the same moveset, despite a few new moves Ermac can now possess, and just how they have so many things in common with their finishers.
Tanya's was just... odd... very odd.
It's just that, we ourselves can actually come up with so many cool fatality ideas, but yet, coming from the designers themselves, they come up with so many ideas, so many bright ideas that could work, and it doesn't. The fatalities have gotten more lame as the series continued. I'm not sure where it began, I know most of you would say where it had begun, but for me, I really can't see it. I'm going to say the 4th, but it did have some decent finishers, but they were all the same that we've seen before in previous games just now in 3-d. The only one who had both of his finishers just amazing to watch when you perform them is Reptile. But in Deadly Alliance, (Not only did they butcher the look) but his fatality was just so corny.
I really hope that these finishers are something that we've never seen before in ANY Mortal Kombat game. Otherwise, it's just going to be the same damn thing that we've seen before time after time, game after game. But of course, the Head-Rip that Sub-Zero has must stay. It's THE classic finisher.
That's all I got to say.

This is so stupid.
He tells us about capturing 14 fatalities, but he can't give an official announcement?
How are they this far into the game yet it hasn't even been confirmed yet?
Makes no sense. They should just start giving us official updates, not these lame twitter notes.

I doubt they are really far into the game. They are probably just capturing generic fatalities to assign to characters later. The characters probably aren't even designed yet.

Yeah, I'm wondering when we're actually going to see news on the next MK game from the likes of IGN, Gamespot, GameInformer etc. In other words, when will they have the big reveal?
If the MK team is looking at an October 2010 release (as MK games are typically released in October) than I suppose we've got a long way to go before we get to actually SEE the next incarnation of MK.

As long as they're not like, 30-second long fatalities & all MKDA-status
(Drahmin growling every time he's about to move an inch, and Jax bouncing like an idiot before even doing anything...) im okay...
